Hey subby, whether you get greened for this or not, it's a great find. That lawyer's response letter is one of the best I've ever seen. Nice.

The dentist is an idiot, but it is his "lawyer" that is truly, a douche to the nth degree, and should be brought up on ethic violations.

The response lawyer, on the other hand, I want to be my lawyer, some day, when someone decides to legally pursue my awesomeness.

Yep. The pro bono attorney gets major props for this one. That letter was both funny and awesomely correct in putting the dentist and his lawyer in their place.

Dr. Coppola? Is that you?

Popehat should have its own logo here. It is a source of much awesomeness.

Dr. Coppola has already consulted with the authorities regarding criminal charges and the Guadalupe District Attorney's Office stated that placing intentional false information on the internet can result in a felony charge of internet business defamation and libel.

Uh, Drew/modmins, can you please delete all of my posts from ever?

I know it is difficult to run a business providing services to hundreds of people,  you are always going to have some asshole that writes a shiatty review about you on Yelp or whatever.

What I don't understand is why the dentist practice in this case, just doesn't post below it something like this:

"We are sorry to hear that you were not happy with the service you received when you last visited our office.  Please contact our office at your earliest convenience, and we will do everything we can to resolve the issue"

Granted, that isn't going to solve the problem if you have lots of negative messages, but it should solve the lone asshole problem.

Also, welcome to the Internet age, where people can write reviews of you and your business practices all day long.  Maybe you should step up and join the party Dr. Dentist.

I'd like to read the response letter. I clicked the link and opened the PDF in the article, but it was all blurred out. Is there a copy of it elsewhere?

that was incredible...

/A++ would read again

I'd love to see the look on the Dentist's council's face when she read that.

Or rather, read the first three lines and tore it up.

Of course, if you have a business, and the first review on yelp is a bad review, then you are pretty much screwed.  Any good reviews after that are marked as spam, unless you pay for advertising.

The dentist doesn't know too much. All he needed to do was buy advertising on Yelp and that review would have magically disappeared all on its own.
