Um subby they've been all about reality (and programming outside the realm of "country music") for many years now. It's not a genre, it's not a niche on any cable network anymore. It's just another reality show outlet after another.

but....what about all those movies where Toby Keith is a country music star who returns to his home town and reconnects with an old flame???

In their first episode, I hear they get divorced, kill a man, and their dog dies.

Oh, what will they think of next!

I liked it better when it was called "Hey, Y'all, Watch This!"

I... I think I am done with television as a medium. Not that I was watching Country Music Television anyways, but even just glimpsing the kind of bullshiat like Southern Paranormal or that near toothless redneck animal catcher is just too much. I'm just so over it that I just want to farm Oxygen from lunar regolith and get a shipment of video games every six months or so and ignore the rest of humanity.

That's unfortunate.  Television is undergoing a renaissance right now.

I think this great because these shows just get dumber and dumber every year and people are going to finally get tired of this garbage.. I can't watch any of these fake scripted reality shows anymore and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I would seriously watch a paint drying channel over that crap now.

Mean, stupid people love being told/shown how good and smart they are. (See also: Republican Party)

I reserve the word "hate", but I freaking hate reality shows. I cancelled my direct tv months ago, only going to the nearby tavern to watch sports and drink beer now.

It is ironic how nonreality these reality shows are.

There are some people who can't pass up an opportunity to bash their political opponents no matter the situation. It must suck seeing the world through those eyes. It sucks seeing the world through my eyes already seeing all the bullshiat partisanism.

They could save money and just show the State skit The Inbred Brothers on a constant loop.

Subby, it would've been surprising if they joined the scripted show craze.

Nope. Doesn't suck at all. Thanks for your concern, tho.

Didn't read tale heading this, but just heard this AM of country group Trailer Choir.  Mbr Big Vinny Hickerson's 30 today, listed in B'days at ft of our local daily comix.  Remembered but canna say why as Trailer Park Choir.   Wrong, but chuckle worthy.  Do sing meself, just not country.

5 minutes of MT is enough to make you wish the Civil War had been delayed by several decades so we could've used nukes on the south.
