B) The bagpipes may be the worst sounding instrument ever invented.

I've paid $80 to see AC/DC play their whole set, figured that they got at least $20 of my money at that gig, and there were no pyrotechnics in their show at the time.

I'd prolly drop a fiver in his hat.

Pretty cool for sidewalk art.
Maybe I'm easily amused, but I'd tip him.

He started strong but then he got tired and all his notes started to run together and it sounded like a car alarm.

You should listen to my armpit fart rendition, then.  Plus, it sounds much nicer.

Why do bagpipers walk when they play?

They're trying to get away from the sound.

A) Bagpipes played properly are among the most beautiful instruments on Earth. I don't see as many these days in Toronto, but a bagpiping busker always receives a few minutes of my time and a few bucks.
B) Most of you are horrifying philistines.
C)That was fantastic and I don't really give a shiat about AC/DC

Whoever said to themselves "You know what? I bet I can make these bagpipes hella more Metal!" Should be biatch-slapped.

You really should submit that as a response/challenge/one-up/whatever to this thread. You are right this was much much better It'd be a shame if someone else got a green out of that when you did all the work.

I actually like bagpipes and the was 'eh' after the first 30 seconds.

One of the problems with the bagpipes is that they have such a limited range of notes. I think it's like 1.5 octaves. So they pretty much sound the same all of the time.

I've seen thunderstruck played on bagpipes at a Renaissance festival. The band was called The Rogues.

lol wut?
Was gonna say something dumb about bagpipes and fire being awesome, but then this other greater more dumb appeared.

/Also, it's not longer "new", so let's make a thing of this.

I like bagpipes as well, but his work was a little weak.  If he worked on making the notes more than just shooting fire on the drop, made the tones cleaner so they could be heard over the drones, then maybe he'd have gotten something from me.

From what I can tell, Scottish music is designed solely to make boobies bounce up and down.

I must be one of he few Farkers who like bagpipe music. That said, I didn't care for this.

I think the only saving grace to bagpipes is the nostalgic feel of late 80s, early 90s MIDI music in NES games.

Lol
not good work

I saw a musical comedian do some rock-n-roll standards on a film of the Halifax Comedy Festival or some such thing years ago. IIRC, he played "Ina gadda da vida". Possibly "Smoke on the Water" or "I can't Get No Satisfaction".

As for playing flaming instruments, David X Cohen famously played a flaming tuba at the Burning Man years ago. You can find the clip on the web, I'm sure, possibly the comedy routine as well.
