Tell you what Pat, if that's the way your God reacts to people being happy, I'll gladly wear a target on my back.

I wonder what it's like to live every day believing today is the day your imaginary friend is going to make everyone you disagree with pay for disagreeing with you, and then that day just never comes so you have to make random events become your imaginary friend's revenge?

From now on, every little thing that happens in this country is going to be "God's wrath"

/the real punishment is having to constantly hear from these idiots

This is too stupid, and too predictable, for me to waste time mocking it. Yes, I know it's Fark.com. But there comes a time to let it go, pee on the fire, etc. Let these morans do what they do.

I'm assuming that hurricanes are going to hit the gay-marriage hotbeds of Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and South Carolina, while missing California, Iowa, and Vermont. Deus vult!

Yahweh has been really slacking lately.

He should have destroyed New York City, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Los Angeles a long time ago.

A flood in New Orleans is all He could manage? Level a couple of towns in Missouri and Oklahoma?

Come on.

He certainly has taken vengeance on Canada.

Except Calgary, of course, they're world renowned for their progressive, pro-gay stances.

Considering what God's recently done to Colorado Springs - mecca of mega churches and conservative evangelical Christianity - you might want to watch what you say, old man.  The Big Guy's not too thrilled with you charlatans, either.

New Orleans, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. All bastions of Liberal godlessness. Their God has lousy aim.

I read that after the 1906 earthquake in SF some preachers were saying it was gods wrath, and the response from the public was "then why did he burn down all the churches, but we still have all the taverns, whore houses, brewers and distilleries?"

I was riding in a car once on the way to WalMart, visiting a friend's family in the deep South.  We ended up being delayed for a few minutes as a construction group needed to flag a dump truck across the road.  The friend's mother (who was driving) became so irritated at the minor delay that she finally just pronounced "Thank God the Lord Jesus is about to return and send all these people to Hell."

I just stared.

Pat still subscribes to the idea that black people aren't even human.  So morality doesn't apply.

What I keep saying in these threads:
A teacher of mine from HS (a rabbi, and a man I hold deep respect for, since he led by example) once told the class - I think it was after a school shooting - that anyone who claims to know "god's reason" for a tragedy is either lying or evil.

Before He punishes America for the people some people love, God should look into punshing Marion Gordon "Pat" Robertson for his diamond mine dealings with human rights violating dictators like Charles Taylor.

It's a shame Pat Robertson doesn't work with screen writers. He comes up with the sin, and the punishment, and they are adapted into Hollywood action/epic features.

Gay people exist? "The Storm of the Century" (featuring Morgan Freeman as the head of FEMA)

Gay people can wed? "It Came from Outerspace" (featuring Brad Pitt as an intrepid astronaut)

Pregnancy out of wedlock? "The Plague" (featuring Martin Short as the nervous but silly lab tech)

Atheists and Muslims? "The War of the World" (featuring a cast of thousands, via CGI)

Really, a shame - a waste of imagination

So, when is God going to punish Europe for their gay-marrying, heathen ways? Still waiting on that meteor.

Hmm  Pat, was Oklahoma punished with a tornado for voting republican? Was Texas punished for re-election Perry and electing Cruz resulting in part of West, Texas being destroyed in an explosion?

Why is nobody in the conservative media asking these questions of good old Pat?

Silly Theocrats and their sycophant Christofascists.

I don't know which that I support more - marriage equality and equality under the law OR pissing of the superstitious fools of the religious right.  The first option is just the right thing to do; but the second is just so much more fun!

Hopefully I live long enough to see churches lose their tax-exempt status and for a secularist to become president.

I would marry the noose used to hang Pat Robertson.

Well sure.  Look at all the countries that have allowed gay marriage.  They've all been wiped from the maps and obliterated.

Isn't it an amazing coincidence that gods always seem to hate the same people their followers hate?
