Salem Witch: lilyspad:Ralphie is so sweet looking. What a nice neighborhood you have! Thanks. It's not a bad neighborhood, once you get to know the hookers. It's one of the oldest parts of Salem and it is kept up for the most part but we do have a few apartment buildings that aren't very amenable about scrutinizing renter candidates.[imageshack.us image 640x480]Seriously, the hookers love Suzy. And no, I don't have pics.
tigerose: Sickapie: Thank you all for the kind words of encouragement! I had all your names typed out and the web paged crashed. Booo! Ah well. I think in the back of my mind, I know it's going to be ok, but when I'm in "Mom-Mode", I'm in a different mindset. Now to catch up on the rest of the thread....Mom mode is good though. With Mom mode you aren't going to settle for "we don't know" you will keep pickin and squawkin until someone comes up with an answer. It's what we do. *places onion on belt* When my kid was young, we had all sorts of people telling us that he had this or that, I kept saying, "I think he is gifted, and very frustrated in his classroom. Why don't you give him extra work, so he is busy". I fought like crazy to get him into the gifted program in Middle School. I called the board, I demanded they test him. They did. The "shrink" that did the testing said to me, "Oh yeah, he's precociously gifted verbally, has an incredible knowledge base. No wonder he doesn't relate well to his peers!" Best thing I ever did.So, you go girl! ((hug))
Sickapie: Well, I got the phone call that I've been waiting for today. The hospital that Little Pie needs to go to for her eating/swallowing problem called and set up an initial visit with the 3 of us. It's in Evansville, IN (abt. 4.5 hrs. away). Once that visit happens, they can determine how long she has to stay there. Thankfully, she'll be outpatient, which means I get to stay with her (at the Ronald McDonald House across the street from the hospital), so it won't be too traumatic for her.She starts her anti-anxiety meds tomorrow, so pray to Ceiling Cat for me that that goes well!%$(%^FRdjwpe (me banging my head against the keyboard....)
Radak: This isn't a cat, but she grew up with one, and then always tried to play with any other cats she met, often much to their annoyance, but she just thought they were playing back. She was the greatest companion, and died this week, after 13 wonderful years of life.I'll miss you Etc. Thanks for everything you gave me. Sleep well.[i.imgur.com image 400x459]
tigerose: Eli update! He has mild conjunctivitis, although vet did not see anything on the eye, no ulcers etc. It might just have been an irritation (environmental). So, eye drops three times per day for 3 days and then if the eye looks clear, twice a day until next week..*sigh* Eli really flinched when the doc examined his eye, despite the fact that his eyeball was numb at the time. Our vet said, "He really should not be feeling that!" He was very careful with him after that. Good thing too, he flinched again when he looked under the upper eye lid.
Radak: Thanks for the condolences, folks. It really does help. Here's two more quick pictures. She always slept in bed with me.[i.imgur.com image 640x407]And boy did she hate thunderstorms![i.imgur.com image 640x480]End of doggie threadjack. We now return to our regular cat-based programming. :)

lethological_lassie: quantum_jellyroll: OMG! I got an early morning text that interrupted my sleep. I went outside to call them, and the little feral cat that has always stayed at least 10 feet from me, has come over and flopped over and started begging for pets. If it wasn't a male, I'd swear it was in heat! He's meowing, trolling, rubbing my leg, and begging to be petted some more. I'm flabbergasted.YAY! Timing may be the key? Cue Diana Ross singing "Touch me in the Morning..."
