BizarreMan: While that is an excellent collection of crime and villiany, I don't think that the TSA needs to be blamed for the actions that took place away from the airport and while not in uniform.

You'd have thought they would do a better job of background checks, but I guess you can't pre-screen them all.

ROLANDO NEGRIN
Airport: Miami International
Position: Transportation Security Officer
Crime: Assault
Date: May 7, 2010
"A Transportation Security Administration screener at Miami International Airport was arrested this
week for allegedly beating up a co-worker after months of jokes about the size of the screener's
genitalia that colleagues observed during training with full-body scanning machines.
The agency has suspended Rolando Negrin, 44, after his arrest Tuesday night after beating a
co-worker who had made the jokes. The AP reported that Negrin reportedly told police he "could
not take the jokes anymore and lost his mind."

Anyone think it's ironic that a TSA agent was humiliated and felt personally violated after being forced to go through a full body scanner?

(Also, if you're embarrassed by your co-workers finding out you have a tiny dick the best thing to do is attack them so that your tiny dick becomes part of written court transcripts and is referenced in federal documents.  Good plan!)

Thank god they weren't allowed to unionize. Then they would have been lazy and corrupt.

HoratioGates: ""A CHRISTIAN ROCK musician - who once played for Pope John Paul II - was nearly beaten to
death early yesterday by an off-duty airport security agent during a Brooklyn road-rage clash,
cops and relatives said. Johnny Philippidis, 27, lay in a medically induced coma last night at Lutheran
Medical Center, and his mother, Jannine, was keeping vigil at his bedside"

To be fair, who among us hasn't wanted to beat a Christian Rock musician?

(I kid, I kid.)

Also, did the white, GOP, southern Congressman HAVE TO choose an image of a sleeping, black TSO as the lead-in to her tirade? I mean, yeah, it happened, but in a report about criminals why start off with that?

Because milkin' the clock is stealing.

When your national security policy is basically a make work scheme for the unemployable, there are bound to be problems.

coco ebert: I fly quite a bit and have never had any problems with the TSA. I also don't approach TSA workers with immediate attitude like a lot of fellow passengers I see.

Just took a trip to SFO - the screeners on either end seemed slightly cheesed that I opted for the hand-pat (the return flight, they made me wait well apart from my luggage for almost 20 minutes. I was convinced my phone/wallet would be stolen; happily they weren't), but both were good-natured about it.

I got them both to laugh, too.

// and apparently, they don't hear the "now you have to buy me dinner" joke that often, maybe 3-5 times/week

Yeah, and it isn't hard to find 50 assholes like those guys out of any group the size of the TSA. But if you guys think increasing the TSA budget so they can do better background checks would stop it, well, sure, we can try.

The real 50 most dangerous TSA officers are still out there.

Oh, she sucks at her job. Mightily. I wouldn't give her a hero tag if she ran into a burning building and saved 25 babies and a litter of newborn puppies.
