He also said he believed that the court's decision will put children at risk if they're born to unmarried parents.

What is this I dont even

Rand Paul is an idiot.

Would anyone care to translate that into Sane?

He's just worried that the copy of "Atlas Shrugged" he has sex with is making lots of subtle references to engagement rings

2013-06-27 01:25:08 PM
Paul's spokesperson later clarified his comments. "What he was discussing was that having the state recognize marriage without definition could lead to marriages with no basis in reality," Moira Bagley said.

Without definition? How about "two consenting adults?" Can that be a definition? Or do you need to check everyone's junk before they put the rings on?

He also said he believed that the court's decision will put children at risk if they're born to unmarried parents.

Not enough expletives or middle fingers in the world.....

what is it that is the leading cause of poverty in our country? It's having kids without marriage.

Of all the bullshiat he said, this is the thing that makes the least sense and the one he won't be called to the carpet on.

The rights completely unhinged reaction to yesterday's rulings is probably doing more for the same sex civil rights movement than anything that's come before.

Gay marriage opponents are no longer masking their true intentions. And the general public is now getting the sulfurous stench from the sheer hatred that really is behind it all.

2013-06-27 01:27:03 PM
Uh, Rand, it's been that way since at least October 20, 1990.

2013-06-27 01:27:55 PM
Does he really want to pull at that thread, considering that to all appearances his father mated with a Brillo pad?

2013-06-27 01:29:05 PM
So according to him, this could become a reality?

Do you take Bill to be your lawful wedded Husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love, cherish, and to obey, till death do you part?

That was true of segregation too.  It has always been about resentment and spite.

Humans have been allowed to marry nonhumans for years. For example, Rand Paul, who is clearly some sort of lizard person.

Maybe we could get OSHA involved in protecting people against the hazards presented by slippery slopes.  Once "big brother" government becomes involved in slippery slopes, the GOP will have to repudiate them.

Then, finally we may be free of the daily onslaught of right-wingers using them to justify EVERYTHING.

Don't judge me.

I honestly don't understand this entire argument.

Decades on the Internet have taught me that there are indeed people who like to fark inanimate objects and nonhuman animals such as sheep, dogs, watermelon, knotholes, Tonka toy cement mixers, pies, Lindsay Lohan, Logitech gaming joysticks, used coffee grounds, cheese graters, emus, willow trees, etc. But where does the whole "marriage" thing come into play? Who are these vapid wastes of protoplasm who say "Gosh, I'd like to pork this here Guernsey calf, but I can't, because we're not married?"

Anybody who is backwoods enough to want to fark a turtle is just going to do it. Nobody wants to marry one.

In my experience, the people who yell the loudest about this kind of thing are the people who secretly desire it the most.  So the burning question of the day really should be:

What kind of animal does RAND PAUL want to marry?

What does any of this have to do with Glenn Beck?

Rand Paul and his all caps father are hypocrites, because they're not really libertarians!

Yeah.

We all knew that already.

A "Libertarian" who thinks that the federal government should stop gay marriage?

NO WAY!

Stolen from Twitter: Dr. Paul is proposing banning the marriage of Ambassador Sarek and Amanda Grayson.

It's kind of interesting because I've maintained that the Drs. Paul aren't libertarians, but neoconfederates. But wanting the Federal government to ban something goes against Confederate beliefs as well. Maybe we need a new term to describe their politics.

If a man and a turtle want to have intimate relations I think they should be married first.  That's what I was brought up to believe.

I proposed to my turtle, Toby, last night. He didn't reply. No "yes". No "no". Now, I'm just stuck in limbo.

TOBY I LOVE YOU! Please reply and fill out the paper work with your cute tiny little claw hands. When you're ready, though.

I will wail for you to evolve a higher capacity of understanding.
