I'm gonna take a wild guess and say the Fark Consensus will be its usual pissy self, whining about bootstraps or fair market or some such, but this is cool. Somewhere in the world somebody still gives a fark about five decades of loyalty. I don't think the Bruins, who have been able to double ticket prices in less than 10 years, will miss her money.

And, well, she IS 77...

Six months of free tickets is pretty cheap publicity.

I was under the impression she's been going for free since  2006-07.

Rocky completely changed the franchise when "Dollar Bill" kicked the bucket, so it looks like Charlie Jacobs has been taking notes and is just getting an early start.

As much as I enjoyed hearing about this, her tickets went from $73 in 2003-2004 to $150 in 2006-2007.  Yikes.

Sadly a bunch of teams started doing that around the same time.  The so-called 'glass seats' went to something like Ultra-Mega-Platinum-Xtreme status and the prices were double (or higher).

The farking Blues front row seats went to $265 a piece.  They are all inclusive food and booze so if you work at it you can make up the difference, but you'll end up dead from a heart attack by the end of the season.

Then they started bleeding people even more by splitting the seat sections to up the costs even more.  The goddamn Blues currently have 18 different ticket prices.  It's just absurd.

/goddamn Blues

Candygram for Mongo: Flash forward 40 years:  World's oldest woman attributes longevity to eating right, drinking in moderation, and enjoying free Bruins tickets.

Actually, if she lives to be 120, the Bruins would love to use her as advertisement.  The free tickets would pay for themselves "Come to the Bruins game and see the world's oldest fan".
