AverageAmericanGuy: This is what happens when you make decisions about players based on athleticism rather than moral character. These players are heroes for kids who look up to them. When you hire thugs like Hernandez, you send a message that it doesn't matter what bad things you do in your private life, as long as you can deliver on the field.

It's not a good message to be sending to young athletes.

What about young people interested in banking, finance, real estate, corporate or big firm law, politics, or essentially anything involving money and business.

In a 'free-market' you are worth what you produce, morals be damned, so long as your actions don't hurt the bottom line. If you make money for someone leep it quiet or do something people don't give a shiat about. If you're not as profitable as the next guy no one cares how good a person you are. Get lost.

Welcome to raw capitalism. Don't decry it in the business of sports but praise it everywhere else. Money is money.

Kygz: Have they arrested any of the other two guys?  Not a damn thing is really being said about any other part of the investigation except whether Hernandez was in his house.

That is what I want to know. Because if they did I'm pretty sure they are all pointing the finger at Hernandez.

Murder.  Attempted murder.  Tebow.

If true, this case just got worse AND dumber.

Christ Hernandez, you just got a new lucrative deal last year...you couldn't throw a few grand towards some lesser thug to kill the guy?

I wonder if the reason the Pats signed Jesus Tebow was to have him try to bring Odin Lloyd back to life so that Hernandez wouldn't be facing these murder charges.  A solid plan, really.

Hernandez bought "rolling paper, used for marijuana" at a gas station before the murder.

I am somewhat stunned. I assumed since they took their time that he was involved but I would not have guessed he was the actual shooter.

First degree murder & weapons charges.  Just heard

2013-06-26 02:52:18 PM
Hernandez was pissed that he couldn't "trust" the victim, because he went to a club called Rumor (?) and talked about him to people.

Don't worry, BSPN will start doing that any minute, since he coaches oh-so-filthy Ohio State now.

Twitter feeds:

Prosecutor: Police have Hernandez on tape with firearm and saying "you can't trust anyone anymore" before picking up Lloyd.

The 3 left at 1:12 am toward RI. Cell tracked to gas station. 2:10am stopped bought gas and continued to victim's home

Hernandez picks up Odin LLoyd at LLyod's home 2:30 am. Car heads to Boston then goes to North Attleboro.

Yeah, that seems pretty clear now with all the information that the prosecutor has regarding specific events of that night.

From what I just read it was 1 in the back and 2 in the chest

2013-06-26 02:55:43 PM
So basically the prosecutor's putting forth the idea that Hernandez decided he couldn't trust the guy anymore because he talked about him at a club, so he picked the guy up under the pretense of hanging out, drove him to the woods, and shot him 5 times.

No one certainly needs to convince me Hernandez is a piece of sh*t, but I still can't grasp him being dumb enough to shoot the guy himself.

The timeline the prosecutor is dropping in court right now  on TMZ is insane, this dude is farked.

Wow.

Just...wow.

I didn't even consider this as a real possibility. Charging him with murder directly? Surely he's not THAT stupid, right? I mean, he just signed a 40 farking million dollar contract, he's not absurdly retarded enough to shoot this dumbass hisself, is he?

Really?

Even beyond the morals and such, if true that's some spectacular arrogance to think he could just roll out, shoot a dude 3 or 5 times, leave him in the woods and just go merrily on his way because, I suppose, he's a rich football player.

Maybe the victim put his hands up in front of him and took two through his arms and into his chest, fell over, and then Aaron iced him in the back.

2013-06-26 02:59:30 PM
They've got him all over town with the victime, at the scene of a murder, holding a gun, and they've got him destroying security tapes and his cell.  He's farked.
