well, that *made* the ghost. Markey winning sealed him in a small box and made sure he couldn't win here again

Actually, if Scott Brown became NH senator instead of Ayotte, that would be a net positive

The ghost of brown sounds like what you'd find in a toilet at a chili restaurant.

I just found out this morning that Gomez was a Navy SEAL. You'd think he'd have mentioned that.

He will return in ten centuries, and a hero will arise to destroy him forever.

Ghost of Brown (right).

Well, Gomez can at least go to his huge house with the historical tax abatement and complain that Massholes are racist because they didn't vote for a guy spouting GOP talking points.

I'm waiting for a butthurt dumbfark to come in here and say just that.

2013-06-26 09:41:01 AM
Go on, tell us we're racist for not voting in a Latino. Better yet, tell the Latinos that voted for Markey that they're racist against themselves.

Wasn't Gomez the one that was saying the GOP needs to be less head-in-assy? If he ran as a Democrat, no one would have noticed much difference - it's MA - but there still would have had to be a GOP sacrificial lamb candidate.

Gomez is a toolbeat, but I'm glad the damn election is over, the political ads on TV were driving me nuts.

At this point, anyone who runs as a repub is essentially saying "I approve of torture when we do it, am in favor of disenfranchising large segments of the population, oppose public education, hate Mexicans, hate gays, think poor people are lazy, don't want you to have affordable health care although I got mine, and think women are asking for it when they get raped and deserve to be humiliated if they want an abortion." The best someone like Brown or Gomez can do is say "Sure I belong to the party that subscribes to all those horrible things, but I myself am actually a nice guy." If you were actually a nice guy, you wouldn't belong to the repub Party. It's reached that point, the repubs literally have nothing to offer except the promise that, if elected, they'll make sure the people you disapprove of will suffer more than you do.

So just to be clear, the Republicans went out of their way to prevent Susan Rice from becoming Sec. of State to get John Kerry into the position, allowing them to go aver this senate seat.  Then not only do they not win the seat they were after, they created ANOTHER vengeful enemy who is close to the president to haunt them, a la Elizabeth Warren.  I would say the Republicans didn't think this cunning plan all the way through...but have they ever?

This is out of date because MA has medical and decrim now but this shows you how the "libertarian" small government NH is a load of shiat... only state in the NE still arresting people for it pot.

Dr Dreidel: Wasn't Gomez the one that was saying the GOP needs to be less head-in-assy? If he ran as a Democrat, no one would have noticed much difference - it's MA

Gomez? Gomez just wanted the perks of office, he was willing say whatever mush-mouthed generalities that would convince Massholes he wasn't actually a Republican. Witness his round-and-round-the-mulberry-bush performance in the debates. Except he was on record saying all sorts of GOP nonsense before he ran, and probably would've toed the line for McConnell so he could get some cushy committee assignments. So, no, there was a difference between the two, and pretty much everyone in the state knew it.

sure, if you ignore literally all of his actual policy positions

Similarly, I just found out this morning that Rudy Giuliani was the mayor of New York on 9/11.  I think he should've mentioned that during his campaign for the GOP presidential nomination.

From Markey's victory speech:

"Can you feel it?
Nothin' can save ya!
For this is the seaon of catchin' the vapors!"
