(NBC News)   "The driver of the Taurus sustained also died," and "Chris Kelly of the Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating this accident." I saw this accident, and I still can't figure out what happened from reading this article   (nbcnews.com) divider line 7

The handful of times I've been involved in something that was reported in the news I've seen just how bad reporters all. In all of those cases they got the basic facts wrong. I therefore assume that this applies to the majority of reporting.

GFY I'm not criticizing grammar but content. Reporters get simple facts wrong more often than not. I'd much rather see their work checked for accuracy and content rather than checking spelling or finding typos.

Sheesh, overreact much? For the record, it's not even grammar that you got wrong. To use your words, you got the content wrong (using an altogether wrong word that made no sense in your sentence, just like the article did.)

FTFA: "NHP says for an unknown reason, Cloutier hit the front of a white Ford Taurus head-on."

Well, this is just a guess, but it probably has something to do with the fact that they were driving on the wrong side of the road.
