Nothing to worry about. It was a warning shot that according to certain Farkers, would never hit anyone.

Well I was taking Mrs Champ for a walk in the woods and this guy says, "Hey Champ!  I See you're taking a tramp in the woods!"
"Pardon?"
"I see you're taking a tramp in the woods!"
Well I LOSE it!  I give him a furry of blows to the solar plexus and an uppercut.  As he's laying on the ground moaning I say, "Well how's that Mr Taking a tramp in the woods?  Is that taking a tramp in the woods enough for you?  Huh?"
Ever since I've been the champ, I lose control.

Attention, journalism majors and other illiterates:

"Storming" is not a weather verb.  Storming the Bastille is, as always, acceptable (and fun).  But clouds, thunder, and lightening means "there is a storm," not "it's storming out."

And if your excuse is that you were using the language that the victim used, then please make use of this little sign, it looks like two apostrophes in attack formation where one is the other's wingman: "  In fact, make use of two of them, one where you begin to quote your subject and one after you're done quoting her.  As it, it was "storming" out.

If you can't reliably write in fluent english, please learn how to operate a Fry-O-Lator.

And "lightening" does not refer to weather, at least not to such weather as accompanies thunder.

Shiat like this really pisses me off.  I mean - gddamn Champ! - really, you don't run off which makes you look like you have done something wrong.  You man up and claim your constitutional right to own a firearm and claim (pick one):
- You were cleaning your weapon and it accidently discharged
- It was in your holster, you sat down, and it accidently discharged
- you were putting it away in a safe location, it hit the table, shelf, etc a little too hard, and it accidently discharged
- you were removing the ammunition from your weapon and it accidently discharged

There might be other legitimate reasons not listed above but you should always have one of these valid reasons well rehearsed and ready to present to the police.  They are very understanding and will go out of their way to ensure no charges are filed and support your claim that it was an extremely unfortunate accident.  What could be easier?

Dude obviously had no training on how to handle a firearm. Or common sense.  He is NOT a "responsible  gun owner".

Anyone who tries to clean a loaded gun, is just plain stupid. I cannot fathom how someone could possibly do this.

It's almost like he shouldn't have had a gun in the first place.
