I don't care what you say, random website I've never heard of.  I was amused by  Hudson Hawk.

Is it sad that upon seeing the headline that I knew the movies for those actors on the list?

Hell yeah

I saw "Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot!" in Bern, Switzerland that summer.  It was amusing in German with French subtitles.

Hudson Hawk does not belong on that list. Whatever the hell that list is.

I got a kick out of it as well, and they just sound stupid pretending they don't understand the whole singing thing. Makes it sound like they're reviewing the movie without ever having watched it...

Oh, wait... NOW I get it.

Yeah, Hudson Hawk was a fun movie, my wife and I still watch it on occasion, or turn it on while we're waiting for a show to start or dinner to be ready, if it's already on. I admit I had to watch it two or three times to keep all the bad guys straight, but it's fun and Andie MacDowell is farking hot in this. Especially when she chatters like a dolphin. For some reason that's sexy, just like when a girl can actually purr. Don't know why.

Ones that actually make sense being on the list.
Theodore Rex
Stop! Or my Mom Will Shoot!
Leprechaun
The Return of the Swamp Thing
Cop and a Half
Gigli

Jennifer Aniston in "Leprechaun" (1993)

This shouldn't really count. Aniston was in no way a "Big name celebrity" when that was made. Plenty of actors made awful movies before they became famous.

2013-06-25 05:38:21 PM
Gigli is by far the least watchable.

2013-06-25 05:38:50 PM
You want to see a BAD movie starring some pretty big names?  Well, a lot of recognizable names.  Go find "Vamps"

Alicia Silverstone is a vampire and  Sigourney Weaver is her master.

At the end Sigourney Weaver gets her head chopped off and uses Grant's bones as a body and fights Wallace Shawn (via stop motion, like Jason & the Argonauts).

It's honestly Sigourney Weaver's head cut and pasted on stop motion bones.  You HAVE to see this movie!!

I wish I could buy Bruce Willis and whoever the other guy is singing that song. I would pay 1.29 on itunes for it.

Agreed. I thought Stop or my Mom would shoot to be silly but not bad enough to be on this list.

Also since we are B movies and A list movies mixed in a worst list.

DarkPascual: Don't remember much of "Hudson Hawk", but I do remember that both Willis and Danny Aiello seemed to have lots of fun with it...

Andie McDowell was a nun, and David Caruso was in it, but didn't say a single word. Also, Bruce Willis had a thing for cappucinos? mochacinos? some sort of coffee drink that they made much too big of a deal out of.

The list, for those who care:
Whoopi Goldberg in Theodore Rex (post Sister Act)
Sylvester Stallone in Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot
Aniston in Leprechaun, as mentioned
Heather Locklear in Return of the Swamp Thing
Bruce Willis in Hudson Hawk
Burt Reynolds in Cop and a Half
Affleck/Lopez in Gigli

2013-06-25 05:53:42 PM
1) Leprechaun is awesome in its cheese.

2) All of these are cinematic masterpieces compared to Patch Adams.

If I recall correctly it was supposed to a monster hit for Bruce and the studio and it bombed.  I worked at blockbuster at the time and it didn't have a long rental life.

Gigli is my vote for the worst on the list. I got it in when I owned my video store and forced myself to watch it one night just to see if what was being said about it was really true. Aside from some butt crack and camel toe shots from Jennifer Lopez, the movie is unwatchable. When it's not boring you to tears, it's wearing on your last nerve with very unlikable characters, especially the "special needs" guy.

Having said that, Aniston has made worse movies than "Leprechaun". Even though she's first on my Hollywood lust list, I'm tired of getting blue balled by her with the advance publicity saying "Jen gets naked in her new movie" and then she doesn't.

I like Aniston better in movies such as Good Girl or Management then any of her star vehicles. Now if she does more roles like she had in Horrible bosses that would okay by me and she doesn't even have to get naked

Horrible Bosses was interesting because Aniston kind of shed herself of her goodie girl image for a while. I'm curious to see how "We're The Millers" goes as well.

I think that's why it gets maligned. Somehow people got the idea it's like Ishtar or Heaven's Gate or something. I think I remember Mad Magazine at the time Lampooning it, so maybe it weaselled itself into our brains the same way various not actually bad fromthe 60s and 70s were mocked by comedians.

A lot of it had to do with the fact that Bruce Willis was reportedly going through a raging asshole phase around that time that was the stuff of legends even by Hollywood standards. Richard E Grant (Darwin Mayflower) in particular loathed working with him and spent a good chunk of his autobiography detailing what a nightmare it was shooting this film and what a diva he was on the set. By the time the film came out and flopped ($65 million dollar budget, grossed $15 million), the knives where already out and everybody was ready to celebrate his downfall. It was regarded the same way that Battlefield Earth was when that movie was released. But unlike BE, Hudson Hawk developed a cult following and is now embraced as a quirky heist movie with offbeat characters. The following year when Bruce was doing Death Becomes Her, Meryl Streep gave an interview saying she dreaded doing a movie with him but actually found him to be a nice guy, so apparently HH flopping had a humbling effect on him.

/saw it opening night
//was the only one in the theater laughing
///guy two rows in front of me kept turning around to glare at me
////when the movie ended the lights came on, he yelled "that movie stunk!" at me as he stormed out the theaters
/\/Hey, asshole. Was just leaving early as asking for your money back not an option for you?
