varmitydog: I didn't think that was sad at all, I thought it was pretty upbeat. Sad would be the guy coming home and his dog, bent with age and crippled with arthritis, tries to get up and falls down. Sad would be a soldier coming home with a leg missing and his dog knocking him down. Sad would be when the guy comes in and asks "where's Rover?" only to have his wife reply "it up and died".
