Please. There is a weirder dog winning the ugliest dog contest every year but this year. Far weirder. This one just kind of whines.

And, yeah. This year's "ugliest dog" isn't even ugly. Not even so ugly he's cute, just cute. The winner from any other year would give this little twerp nightmares for life.

My grandmother had a dog almost exactly like that.  Several over the years, really.  She was on the board of directors for the local SPCA and would often adopt the shall we say `unadoptable' pets like that.  Even without teeth, she'd cut it up ham and such.  Damn thing did bond with her, but hated and would bite (gum rather) ANYONE else.  It made it to its 20th birthday at least.

I was going to say I bet it would be very affectionate given the right attention.

They can be, but they seem to have memories.  My theory on grandma's dog and why it liked her and ONLY her is probably that he was abused by a previous male owner, and associated men with his abuser, and her as his savior.  Wouldn't recommend a dog like that for a family with small children, but to the right caring owner they can still have a very good life and give lots of love.

the reason why her tongue keeps coming out of her mouth is because her teeth are gone do to no dental care

sigh...

Sad as hell about the dog, anyway.

I have an ex puppy mill dog and she has no teeth either. when she acts happy I don't freaking go" Awwww she was in a puppy mill as a breeder and she has no teeth. I shall not laugh at my dog now that she is well cared for and loved and having a good time"  I laugh my ass off.

This person needs to learn that you have to leave things in the past and change your life. What a downer. That was funny and she or he looks reaally happy and playful in their new home!

Very likely. The video itself is from 2008.

My wife and I adopted a 5 year, 70 pound old lab mix (other half was probably some kind of white shepherd) from the local shelter, who had been found abandoned in the middle of nowhere for a couple weeks.  He was an absolutely gorgeous dog and random people on the walking or driving by would take the time to tell us how good looking he was.  He bonded to us like superglue and was the sweetest companion ever with us.  However, with everyone else, it was completely random from day to day.  Somedays he was friends with one person, and the next day he would seriously attempt to tear their arm or leg off, if it weren't for the chain collar, electrotherapy collar, and muzzle.  We came to the conclusion that it was a combination of mental problems and whatever the dog's previous owner had done to him.  We had him put down, which really sucked, but it was the best thing for everyone in the end.

"Cute" dogs have smaller faces. I have two dogs with their tongues perpetually hanging out, both chihuahuas. One did have to have all teeth removed and that's his cause. The other, however, is a puppy mill rescue. The breed for the "apple head" look. Overbreed, pick two pups with very small heads, breed those, pick two of the ones with the smaller heads, breed those, etc. Very teeny small head structure, but somehow the tongue doesn't always get the genetic message. She's either the ugliest dog in the house or the cutest, depending on whom you ask.

Dogs have long memories, but chihuahuas are known for bonding to only one person.

Person who posted the video at that site did it illegally without permission from the owner of the 16 year old dog OR the permission of the video site the owner of the dog originally posted it to THEN made derogatory comments about the owners and the dog.

People who copy stuff on the internet then claim its their own should be given medication AND shot in the balls.

I used to have a rescue dog that was in a bad situation. He was a super tiny Chihuahua. He had only a few teeth and half of his jaw was detached. He had two ribs that were just floating. The poor little guy was terribly treated and beaten up by the other dogs where he came from. Obviously the shiathead previous owners did not care.

He was the most gentle dog in the world and we sometimes had to help him get around.

He had one thing going for him though. An ENORMOUS SCHLONG. No kidding. it was half the size of his body. I know that sounds like bs but its true. It went half way up his chest to where his front legs were. Just massive and flapping around. He would roll over on his back all the time just to make sure you saw its glory.

We loved him dearly. Eventually he had a really hard time just getting around and eating so I had to put him to sleep :(

man ..now I am tearing up.

If that is is actually true, it would be more accurate to call him a dick with a chihuahua attached.
