lack of warmth: DerAppie: Sounds like she isn't even nearly in control of that class and the students are looking for their limits without really finding any. Let this be a lesson, delegated authority isn't really respected. Teenagers will notice it instantly and adults only work with people with delegated authority to the extent that they need to in order to keep their job.

/Having the principal step in only reinforced the idea that we could pretty do what we wanted during my school days
//It showed that the teacher couldn't be bothered to keep order him/herself

Been there!
My oldest son was bullied by a group of three boys mercilessly for a few years.  The worse year they had a teacher who when moved to their school got a big bump up from teaching kindergarten to teaching 6th grade.  The inexperience was just dripping off her.  The bullying escalated really quickly and we quit talking to her about it when our son said she breaks down and cries in class, a lot.  We focused on the principal for results, only he was like the one in this story.  Kept telling us it was being handled and the boys knew the cops would be involved if it continued.  It continued to escalate which became the final straw to the decision for homeschooling.  Homeschooling is picking up a lot of steam in this area and now the schools are crying 'Our budgets are getting cut, because we have less students'.

Too bad about the whole religious stigma attached to homeschooling, though.

At least your son will likely marry a beautiful woman with a great big smile that lights up the room.

Isn't celery already pretty much penis shaped?
I don't mean the U shape, since most penii don't look like that, but the long straight shaft portion of it. Of course you could say the same thing about carrots, donut sticks, preztle rods and lamp posts.
