There's not enough room for her, his smack, and his ego. Amazing what a high opinion a washed-up smack-addicted singer can have of himself. He thought that STP would break up or they would give in and give him what he wanted. Imagine his surprise when they told him (finally) to pound sand. So now he's suing to stop them from playing without him.

Why is it that Layne Staley can be in the grave over a decade and this prick is still around?

darch: There I Was: Weiland is a junkie, and you can't trust junkies--you get what you get, and sometimes what you get is farked over.

But sometimes what you get is 'A Song For Sleeping.'  If you've not heard it and you're a parent, give it a listen.  I first heard it on a deployment in 2001 and it brought me to tears.  Just a perfect piece of music and lyrics about that awesome wash of emotions that sometimes happens when you look at your baby and realize what a gift being a parent can be.   Of course, kids are also like junkies, too, and they will soon snap you out of that reverie with a well-timed tantrum.

Anyway, back to the thread.

/Never heard any PJ in STP

Oh christ- you're one of THOSE people. You've "seen the light" of procreation and now you need to "spread the gospel" as it were to the rest of us childless unfortunates, right.

You probably think it's ok to bring those perfect little snowflakes into nice restaurants, right?

Jeez, lighten up Francis.  It's just a song recommendation.

I bolded that part because your parents hated you and didn't teach you jack shiate about reading comprehension.  Nice leap into that screed, though.  Well done.

FWIW, I'm a grandfather and I have seen the best and worst that kids (and what they grow into) are capable of.  Sorry if recommending the song to parents came off as exclusionary--you can listen to it, too, if you like...and pretend your parents felt that way about you once.

You have a nice day, sunshine.

I worked 3 STP shows last year: the first show Scott was 45 minutes late while the other 3 members of the band stood side-stage waiting for him. The 2nd night he was only 25 minutes late with the band standing by and the audience waiting almost an hour between the opener and STP.  The 3rd show he finally showed up 90 minutes late. That's 2 hours after the opening act finished. The crowd started out chanting: "STP! STP!" but after an hour or so started chanting: "Bullshiat! Bullshiat!"
The guy is an inconsiderate prick who thinks nothing of farking over his band mates, his crew and the people who paid to come see him sing.
That being said: he performed way better when he was clearly smacked out, but was still a huge disappointment.

Scott Weiland is a wannabe rock star junkie.

He uses, gets kicked out of STP, cleans up, writes a book, re-joins STP, uses, get fired, writes a book, ect ect ect.

He wants the rock star junkie rep without having to die.
