That is all.

And the same people then demand that we take them seriously as well.

Same way he constantly revives his comical Presidential aspirations: appeal to "conservatives."

Those f*ckers fall for the same shiat time after time.

Ah, I see Santorum will be there. If the Republicans follow their own pattern, he should be the 2016 Republican Party nominee. That would certainly show the Republican Party as the party of the future. Well, the future from the perspective of 1300 or so.

Others invited - but not yet confirmed to attend - include U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, actor/radio host Stephen Baldwin, former U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina and U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida

So, he'll be running as a republican, i guess?

What will the thing on his head be running as?

Won't happen. His whole shtick is based off the presumption he is a billionaire. He'll never give up tax returns, which show he isn't. He will squak and bluster, but he'll never show his financials.

This list gives me a happy. Not one of those douchebags could win. And every one of them would probably hurt down-ticket races.

Any campaign he runs,we all must admit, will be the most luxurious and really, really classy one ever to have the label Trump branded on it.

Hmmmm...never considered this angle, but I think it is accurate.  Too much pride and ego to invite such scrutiny into his life, and by life I, of course,  mean financials.

Also, a great sadness washed over me realizing that Phil Hartman is gone.

The SNL episodes and the inevitable thin skinned reaction by Trump would have been glorious.

Nope, ya pretty much nailed it.

It's a cavalcade of assclowns.

Please oh please oh please oh please run for president, Mr. Trump.

Because pandering to the Religious Right worked out so well the last two times?

Pretty much. Donald wants the Presidency about as badly as he wants Ivana back in the sack. Don't get me wrong, it's entertaining watching a self-unaware candidate who lacks anything remotely resembling shame trying to spin his record for mismanagement and crippling debt, as well as SEC case after case brought against him, but how is a man who has made--and lost--fortunes in gambling and oddly enough the prostitution retreats of his Trump Towers and other properties have turned out to be, going to really play with the Religious Right? Yeah, he can do what he did the last go around, and try to work out book deals out of a campaign, not to mention skim and misappropriate funds from his campaign directly into his own pockets, but let's not pretend that's a "Presidential run" any more than Sarah Palin will ever seek elected office again, without having a hand out to drop out of the race, or to swing gullible votes towards those maladroit enough to consider her anything more than a roadside attraction...

When in the last 30 years have Republicans demonstrated the ability to learn from their mistakes?  Or even to admit that they make mistakes?  I expect more of the same from them.

Well, their platform consists of things like:

1) denying gay people equal rights
2) screwing the poor as much as possible
3) doing whatever needs to be done to make the wealthy wealthier and to ensure they don't have to pay any additional money for much needed investments in our infrastructure
4) denying people who were brought here by their parents as children as undocumented kids from being able to become permanent residents/citizens of the only country they've ever really known
5) forcing their personal religious beliefs onto everyone through using the government (in the name of freedom of religion...their freedom to limit the freedom of others)
6) infringing on women's rights to control their own bodies including in some instances forcing for medically unnecessary purposes a dildo like ultrasound device up their vaginas...

Yeah, it's pretty hard to see anyone supporting such things as being able to be a good person.

Sorry for not responding to both bits of your post at once.   For this part, I would have to say that Religious Right types seem very willing to forgive the sins of others, provided their name is followed by the letter (R).

You're most likely right.  But on the other hand, if he actually starts to stand a chance in the primary, I don't think his ego would allow him to NOT run.

I'd welcome it. The more gag candidates the Republicans have running, the better.

I'd love to hear about a rather potent and nasty outbreak of mild food poisoning that gives most conference attendees the worst case of the moaty blowouts.  If they're going to spew excrement, let them literally spew excrement.
