crotchgrabber: I'm not sure if Nationwide has the wets any more.

Each team had 10 sets of tires this weekend: 7 dry and 3 wet.

And of course no replay of what happened....

So Paulie hits a guy on pit road pre-race and then slams a barrier and causes the first yellow and is done after 6 laps?

Let's not see/hear of Paulie ever again shall we?

WhyteRaven74: I love how TBS doesn't show the full standing they keep cutting it off anywhere between 24 and 30.

To be fair, I don't think anyone's expecting TBS to show very much of this race.

Professor Farksworth: crotchgrabber: Tsrwedge: Wonder what the cross-over point is for inters... oh wait.

/Damnit NASCAR.  If you have wets for Nationwide, give them to Sprint too...

I'm not sure if Nationwide has the wets any more. If I remember correctly, those were left over from a demonstration race at Motegi cup ran years earlier.

No they actually make the wets for Nationwide now. They used them at Montreal a couple of times.

I thought they only did that once (in recent times, that is) and it was a dissaster.  Crashing and spinning under caution.  It *was* fun to see, but I don't think they'll ever do it again.

I also remember hearing (I think, I could be wrong) that there are no wets for Sprint Cup and never will be.  It was a fun thing they tried once (?) for Nationwide.

NASCAR - road racing has a concept called 'local yellow'. Look it up

I think we'd be quite surprised to find any of the race on TBS, given TNT is carrying today's festivities.

They still bring wets to every Nationwide road race. They practiced on them at the Glen last year. And had wipers on for RA yesterday if needed.

Well, I'm going to go next door and watch the race with my dad. His physical therapist kicked his ass this week so I'll be fetching the drinks like he taught me thirty some odd years ago. Pizza and some Napa County wine is on for lunch. I'll check in on mobile once in a while.

Fairly true. But almost every break included irritating sitcom ads.

Why did Montoya punt kyle?

He must have thought 18 looked like 48

Speaking of: Jimmie is up to 14th and getting a little too much camera time

No need to attract the idol's attention so early...

Montoya is just on a move. He punted someone else before he got to KyBu, and now he is up in 8th. Man on a mission.

I've been a passenger for at-speed laps at Sears Point.

I'm tellin ya, it's a helluva ride! you're not just driving like normal, because of all the turns. Through the carousel and the S's you're bouncing up and down while slamming to the left and right in your seat. And coming off the S's into turn 11, you need to cut your speed by a good 80mph to keep from crashing in the hairpin.

It's goddamn fun, but I could never drive that track at speed, not with my bad knee. Something in me would break within a dozen laps.
