Danica spins to get some TV time, and then stalls it for more TV time.

Every time they show that camera in Turn 4 I expect someone to smack that wall piece jutting out.

@dustinlong
Remember during a local caution, drivers can pass. Local cautions marked by course workers waving a BLUE flag in that section.

Oh, does anyone want to be jealous?

Because I have a friend who works with NASCAR on occasion. She got me a Dale Junior autograph this morning.

Something about NASCAR at Sonoma just doesn't sit right. It feels like watching a bunch of fat kids try and run the 100 metres.

That car with the jacked up front end is still racing?

I have a question. Which turn was it that Steve Park and someone else spun into, went up the hill, and flipped during this race one year?

I have to check the rack, but I think I have an Australian zin.

Turn 1.  Kenny Schrader landed on his wheels, Park not so much.

I think that was in the carousel

The light for pits open or closed really needs to be before the commit line.  Someone got busted for the same thing at Watkins Glen a few years back.  Already committed to pit, and then the light comes on a split second before they pass it.

Let's go, Smoke!

I think Park holds the NASCAR record for most races with a flipped car.

It's a talent.

The impressive thing about Park is he rolled the car in mid air and did a 180.

I guess that's why there's a wall there now, so you would slide into it instead of the hillside.

Agreed.  No fan of Gordon, but that was totally unfair.  Or, the commit line needs to have some room for the driver to quickly jump back on the track.

Professor Farksworth: I remember that crash. Brutal.

Yep, and there was his wreck at Atlanta, hit the wall in the turn, on the straight then went across the infield and hit the pit wall. First hit messed up his brakes so nothing he could do about it.

well, they were until Kennedy crashed.
