The same thing happened to me when a spider somehow got inside my projection TV. True!

//but it was out of focus.

Whata cutie.

If I were the guy doing the temperature graphics, I would totally add an animation of a spider crawling down the screen in 1:1 scale just to mess with her

2013-06-23 03:17:24 PM
If I were directing in the control booth, I would have waited until she regained her composure, then switched back to the spider, just to mess with her.

She just returned from maternity leave.

My local newcasters seem to make Fark quite often. They're a fun bunch.

The anchor told a story about a waking up to a bear in her backyard a couple of weeks ago. Kristi reacted to the idea pretty much the same way she did in this clip.

Made me think about how some spiders are so far off the ground!  We have a huge medical center in Detroit and I remember waiting for the elevator and seeing a colony of really big spiders outside the window which was tucked into an inside corner.  Then I noticed them on the 10th floor as well.  Started stopping on multiple floors and between the 18th floor to about the 8th floor there was probably a dozen of these BIG spiders at each floor.  I kept wondering wtf they were eating?  Pigeons?  It was really creepy because once you noticed them, you couldn't quit looking at them every time you were waiting for the elevators.  I am not afraid of spiders per se, but these were big full bodied spiders and they lived in groups.  Always made me twitchy!

Ivo Shandor: Found this on her Twitter page - she doesn't like snakes either.

I like that 1) she is enough of a spazz that the station has collected several of her screwups and helpfully put them online for the viewers' entertainment, and 2) she is humble and self-deprecating enough to tweet the link herself.

If that was me, I would have paid off one of the VTR guys to bury that footage in an abandoned mine a hundred miles from town.
