"Is there anything you want to say to the parents who trusted you?"

Maybe if the reporter didn't ask loaded questions they'd get a response.

2013-06-22 06:13:23 PM
The reaction will be interesting with this one.  Attractive female teacher, 16-year-old female student.  Texas.  At least that news station was treating her like as much of a scumbag as they would have a male teacher.

I think I've seen this porno before...

Repeat or Follow Up tag needed.  The mugshot itself was posted a few weeks ago.

Yeah, she's cute enough.  But if she falls for a 16 y/o girl, none of us have a chance.

2013-06-22 10:10:37 PM
I was expecting the usual hose beast.

She said about all you should say to a TV news crew in her situation.

2013-06-22 10:10:47 PM
Huh... didn't we learn that when it's lesbian sex with an underage partner, we're all homophobes to think that the older one should be prosecuted?

2013-06-22 10:11:47 PM
So she's a runner... me too! Call me, baby (if you're bi).

That is all.

Apparently she knew she was getting into a 29 year old.

Wow, so we're to the point where the media is completely comfortable with prosecuting someone in the press?  I can remember a day not so long ago people would be demanding the reporter be fired.

Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?  (ha, almost wrote quilty).

Popcorn Johnny: I'd like to be the meat in that lesbian sandwich.

Most real lesbian sandwiches are made from several hundred pounds of aged pork, with a little salt and pepper on top.

Nah you see it's ok if two 16 year olds or two minors in general get it on despite both of them not knowing what they're getting into, but it's absolute horror and "think of the children" when one of the parties involved is an adult and knows what they're getting into.

When it's a sex crime (and especially when kids are involved), the accused is automatically guilty, even if they're proven innocent in court.  I've seen several people have their businesses, careers, families, and lives completely destroyed just from the accusation alone, even after proving their innocence in court.

I find this to be a telling snippet from the article:
She didn't have anything to say until she was cornered several blocks away.
"Just leave me alone," said Garcia.

The media chased her down, literally sprinting after her, until they had her until they had her cornered.  They tried to force a confession out of her with loaded questions which can only damage her case and cannot help in any way.

Do you not understand the person-of-authority thing?  It's like sexual harassment in the workplace.  Their doesn't have to be an overt quid-pro-quo.  Merely the fact that one person is in a position of authority over another makes it wrong.  Except in schools, it's even more clear cut, because the adult actually has a legal duty (in loco parentis) to look out for the welfare of the child.

Meanwhile, there is dick-all on the major media outlets about Brazil, Turkey, et. al.  But hey, what's Snooki doing today? The tops stories on most of them right now are Paula Deen being racist and urging people to go outside and look at the moon tonight.

I guess everyone is as different levels of maturity and laws protect people on an arbitrary basis of age, but when i was 16 i was a victim of statutory rape a few times, pretty sure i consented knew what i was doing and wasnt damaged by it, i guess i dont know when the age should be but 16-17 is probably safe to say you knew what you were doing,

maybe i am just skewed from my victimization

"These days"? Mike Wallace was doing this on 60 Minutes back in the 1970s. It's shoddy journalism, for sure, but it's been going on for decades.

Absolutely intentional.

She decided pre-show her student was never going to marry her new beau.

It's clear as day. She set up the maneuver to slam her body as hard into the ground as possible.

Anyone who can't see this also believes the emperor's new clothes look simply fabulous!

but did Mike run after them after they were getting released from jail or was it before they were actually arrested?  It is one thing to chase down someone to try and get "the story" but here the story is already played and the reporter is trying to become part of the story

And yet if I follow somebody around with a camera and chase them down when they run off, I would probably be arrested and quite possibly charged with stalking. Go figure.

They should be publicly flogged. Seriously. Tie them to a pole and teach them manners. After they're tried and found guilty of whatever kind of "harassment" charge applies, of course.

According to women, justice is served if she subjectively thinks you're creepy.  Payback's a beeyotch.

2013-06-22 11:03:02 PM
The moment the newscaster said "16 year old girl" my jaw dropped and stayed there for a full minute. And when the cop said "sex toy" my penis jumped out and said "Giggity"

So the 16 YO was with this teacher several times.  Now the mother of said 16 YO believes her poor daughter was taken advantage of and didn't know what she was doing. !6 and she doesn't know what's going on?!?!?

Dear Mom:  You need to come to grips with the fact that your little princess isn't going to be having any grandchildren for you.  She's never going to bring a boy home to meet you.  You can learn to live with that or lose a daughter.
