I took a nap. Back for a bit.

I see y'all mentioned the Le Mans TdF crossover. I will take pics and video of my bicycle laps around Seca in a few weeks before MotoGP.

99 Aston Martin just plowed into the barrier off one of the chicanes from the lead. Completely destroyed the front.

Wow, this race has the record for most safety cars deployed at 11 (4 hours 53 minutes total time deployed) compared to the previous record of 6 (also had 4 hours 53 minutes deployed).

French driver breaks the rules? Meh, no problem.

Good Morning , I just caught the highlights (lowlights) of the race on Speed. Those fence boys earned their money this weekend and maybe just maybe if Corvette can catch some luck it could get a bronze medal. Still it's LeMans and still THE race (on my bucket list).

Jensaarai: French driver breaks the rules? Meh, no problem.

What happened?

I just turned it back on to watch the Audi parade at the end and they brought all the announcers back for the last 20 minutes.

One guy made a joke about the "French" driver abandoning a car. Everyone laughed and said "we've already been through that".

Lapierre stuffed the car and walked away from it.  According to the rules, you can't go more than 10m from the car, or it's considered 'abandoned' and not classified.  Lapierre was probably about 50m from the car, yet was allowed to get back in and drive it back to be repaired.

The ACO is notoriously biased towards French teams and drivers (Toyota this year is being manged by Oreca, a French racing company).

Heh. This is definitely one of those 24s where everyone is beat up by the end and just wants it to be farkin' over.

2013-06-23 08:58:22 AM
Heh. Briscoe's last lap was 344 minutes.

2013-06-23 09:01:25 AM
TK losing it on the final lap....a race like this should remind drivers how hard it is to finish, let alone win.

TK gets 9!

RIP Allan Simonsen

And next year Porsche in LMP1. Now can we get a couple more manufacturers so it can be a bit more like the Group C days?

I'm not sure if Ferrari is pretending to be retarded or actually is retarded:

Unless a track steward tells you to GTFO for safety reasons. They joked about that as well.

Entertaining race for sure.

Race threads are finally up for later -- not too happy about 2 good races on at the same time today -- opposite day as NASCAR pulls an Indy and Indy does a short track

Ah hell, fell asleep earlier and missed the entire ending...next year I guess.
