(24 Hours of Lemans)   It's the 90th running of the 24 hours at Le Mans... And it's already running, sort of, well they are again now... Audi's are the car to beat although the Toyota was the fastest in qualifying... Link goes to live feed   (24h-lemans.com) divider line 282

haha...I do love these announcers.

2013-06-22 11:16:45 PM
Eurosport team absolutely piling on the hate for the 39.  All of the repressed sleep-crazy has a new target this year.

Last year it was the Ferrari that took off the Audi.

Aaaaargh and there goes the 1 again.

I'm betting electrical on the 1.  Car's flying, stop is routine, right until it's time to go, and then they're all over it.  They've probably got breakers right under that port as a first-resort, now they'll go for a battery change.

yeah the brit announcers/commercials are so much better

A few years ago, there was a car off the side of the road with its hazards on for hours. The announcers thought that was the greatest thing in the world. During the middle of the night, that was all they would comment on.

I miss the Nissan Delta Wing, which they would've brought it back this year.

Le Mans is almost due east of Paris and is closer to the North Pole than Seattle.

Sleep-deprived announcers have high potential for youtube material.

Those audi cars are f*cking bonkers fast. I can't believe they hold up to those stress loads for 24 hours without just shattering.

I know, just wish it was there today. I loved that car so much.

Also I was thinking, it would be cool if they had the Tour de France swing through Le Mans and have the cyclists pedal down the Mulsanne Straight.

Prologue time trial: start in the pit lane and finish on the main straight.

It is on the same latitude as Seattle and on the Prime Meridian

AngryDesertDweller: TheRealBillBrasky: WhyteRaven74: I love the pit stop rules at Le Mans, you can work on the car or change drivers but you can't do both at once, and then when you do work on the car it's only 2 crew members allowed to touch it. Oh and you have to turn the engine off.

Yeah but the one-gun rule for tires slows things down too much. Now that Audi has a closed car too, time for the French to admit they did it to aid Peugeot.

Is there a Pescarolo  car in the race this year ??

Leading in P2 right now.
