The Daytime Emmys are the LPGA of television awards. Sure, they're playing the same game, but they just can't compete with television programming with actual writers.

How about some REAL drama from the network?
Max: We could make a series of it. "Suicide of the Week." Aw, hell, why limit ourselves? "Execution of the Week."
Howard: "Terrorist of the Week."
Max: I love it. Suicides, assassinations, mad bombers, Mafia hitmen, automobile smash-ups: "The Death Hour." A great Sunday night show for the whole family. It'd wipe that f**kin' Disney right off the air.

What is really weird is how the soaps my grandmother used to watch are now being produced for the web and streamed on Hulu now. Can't keep those soaps down, I guess.

I had to add that I don't know what HLN and that their is a Daytime Emmy?  Jesus, is there an award for Talk or "Chicks that talk about menopause and how I love it".
Kit Kat. Give me a break.
