Will China extradite him?  Depends.

Is there any relevance to the fact that he turned 30 today? Like, is there some clause that under 30 you can get away with more sneaky bull shiat?

Not as long as he's in Hong Kong.

Yes, being out of country is a sound strategy. Speaking of... what's that buzzing sound?

Isn't that what Snowden got in trouble for in the first place?

It's like a Catch-22.

2013-06-21 07:52:13 PM
the NSA should just go over his records, find an embarrassing secret about him and tell the press about it. that way everyone is even.

Headline: Feds charge NSA leaker with espionage

Article:  A Justice Department official says a sealed criminal complaint has been filed against Edward Snowden in the National Security Agency surveillance case. The official declined to specify the criminal charges against the former NSA contractor who has admitted providing information to the news media about two highly classified NSA surveillance programs.

The NSA is wired into all the major hubs of AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, and others, and that is never going to change.

Dude is farked:  the U.S./Hong Kong extradition treaty (1997) doesn't have an espionage exception.  And the PRC won't grant him asylum for fear of starting a trade war.

The U.S. extradition treaty with Iceland (from 1902, when it belonged to Denmark) is only 5 pages long, but he's still farked.

Hong Kong's extradition treaty has an exception for political offenses, and espionage has traditionally been treated as a political offense.

They do not want Snowden back.  They just want to make sure he is stuck in one place and the justice hawks in the media and congress are satisfied. The trial would be a fiasco.

is it snowed in where he's at?  cause that would be convenient

If something "happens" to Snowden, it will catch more press than the Lindburgh baby.  Putin would lord it over Obama and Hillary for the next 12 years.

It's far easier to have FOX News and MSNBC and even CNN and NPR ask "questions" about this guy.  Raise "doubts".  We're not saying it's propaganda.  But it's propaganda.

Propaganda, isn't that French?
