The average age of a ballperson is 16, which I believe is part of the reason that, at 35, I was not called back for the second round.
The "official reason" from the instructor was that I had a "weak arm" and was "not fast enough."

If I was the author, I think I wouldn't submit this piece if it revealed I had a weak arm compared to teenage tennis fans.
