Of course. Men like women who look, sound, and act like women, and women like men who look, sound, and act like men. We are wired that way.

Breasts, Ass, Feet, and Dick are what arouses hetero men.

So clearly cute little feminine shemales are what we're discussing here.

The fact that this is entirely different from what the article says will go unnoticed here.

I know this article is mysogynist, but I'm not sure how.

Dunno about that one. When the band Hanson was big, every girl in my school was gaga for them, even though everyone had to be told that they were men.

Except the men who aren't.

In reality we'll pretty much settle for 'female and alive'
Occasionally just one or the other.

Lesbians dude.  All the girls in your school were lesbians and you couldn't even see it!

Oh well FINE I'll go read the article.

Huh. Interesting, although I disagree hugely with their conclusions. I suspect guys looking for short-term are attracted to the most bangable. Guys looking for long-term are attracted to less obvious traits, like emotional stability, determination, a similarity of character to themselves - which maybe they associated with more masculine facial features or someone who looks more "like them". A farkbunny is stunning, but I think most guys know they aren't actually useful for much, long-term.

Lots of maybes there.

I was waiting for that. :)

Basically two neuroscientists scoured the internets to see what people actually get turned on by. They wrote a book, and there's a youtube video describing what they did as well (as in; a talk, not showing porn). But of course there's lots of arguments that can be made for discounting their work, so YMMV.

I dunno. Some enlightened people on fark have tried to tell me that I should be attracted to all people equally. And I should be ashamed for only being attracted to certain people. And I shouldn't behave any differently towards unattractive people.

But then again, I'm pretty sure those people are idiots.

And the only way to find that out about a person is ... getting to know them first. By which time you are in the friend zone.

Makes a lot of sense.

One of the best questions ever in an interview - comedienne Caroline Aherne dressed as an old lady and interviewed people. Here, she interviews Debbie McGee (the assistant and wife of small, balding, famous British TV magician Paul Daniels).

"But what first attracted you to the millionaire Paul Daniels?"

I like  that graph but I have always subscribed to "You can have attractive, intelegent, and sane.... but you can only choose two"

This time around I've resolved to getting down to business as soon as possible, then getting to know her as a person.  It washes out the "free dinner" and "friendzone" types quickly so I can move on to girls who actually have relationship potential.

For you tl;dr folks, the article ACTUALLY says that men surveyed prefer more feminine facial features on pictures of hypothetical women for a short term fling, and did not as much for partners for long-term relationships.

The main problem I see here is it is just men responding to a survey.  There is every reason to believe the partners men actually choose are different from the ones they say will choose in a contrived experiment.

And they were just judging for facial features.  What's a "feminine" woman?  One with more estrogen or female pheremones?  One who knits and bakes?  One who wears makeup and high heels?  The article just deals with facial features.

One could argue that the study shows men prefer more masculine partners for long-term relationships, and then butcher that conclusion into "it's determined that men are attracted to masculine women!"

In a study of heterosexual men, the findings reinforce the heteronormative.

Okay, well um...

"What's the point?  We've been coming here for decades anal probing the inhabitants and all we've learned so far is that 10% of them don't really seem to mind it so much."

 Conclusion:
Men see really feminine women as sexy, but probably more trouble than they're worth?

eh, everytime in my life i was dating in the "awkward" stage it was because we had feelings but nobody wanted to make the first move so time gets wasted and you move into whatever zone you don't like

the times it worked out (at least in the beginning) it was like... no inhibitions from both sides
