Movin' on up (from the Jeffersons)

The End

2013-06-21 12:11:24 PM
This is the song that doesn't end, on a forever repeating loop.

Think about it, it's the perfect trap/troll. After a very short amount of time everyone would want to leave, but wouldn't be able to for fear of showing disrespect for the dead.

baggins_69: I have told my wife many times, first donate any bits and pieces anybody wants for whatever reason, all that should be left at that point is a bag of hamburger (heart, liver, lungs, kidneys, major blood vessels, corneas, , gums, skin, face, major bones would presumably be removed for transplants and grafts)

whatever is left, my buddies are to go deep sea fishing and use it for chum

Tool - Eulogy, obviously.

If no one plays Eulogy at my funeral (or court proceedings if they can't find my body) I'm going to haunt the shiat out of everyone.

YouPeopleAreCrazy: Pink Floyd - Welcome To The Machine

I love floyd but this is one song that honestly can't seem to like. The lyrics just don't measure up to their other work. It's as if they went with the demo.

How about:

Jugband Blues

You really wanna watch their heads asplode? How about "This is the Song That Never Ends" and "Henry the Eighth" as a round?

As soon as the female singer finishes the first line:

This is the song that never ends...

The male voice starts in with:

I'm Hen-ery the Eighth I am, Hen-ery the Eighth I am I am...

And it just goes on and on until there is wailing and screaming and gnashing of teeth.

Radiohead - How to Disappear Completely

That there, that's not me
I go where I please
I walk through walls
I float down the Liffey

I'm not here
This isn't happening
I'm not here, I'm not here

In a little while
I'll be gone
The moment's already passed
Yeah, it's gone

I'm not here
This isn't happening
I'm not here, I'm not here

Strobe lights and blown speakers
Fireworks and hurricanes

I'm not here
This isn't happening
I'm not here, I'm not here....

Tammy by Debbie Reynolds with altered lyrics

I hear the cottonwoods whisprin ahead
Tammy! Tammy! Tammy is dead!
The ole hootie owl hootie-hoos to the beast
Tammy! Tammy! Tammys deceased!
Does my nightmare feel what I feel
When she comes near?
My heart beats so gleefully
You'd think that she could hear!
Wish I knew if she knew what I'm dreaming of!
Tammy! Tammy! Tammys defunct!
Whippoorwill, whippoorwill, you and I won
Tammy! Tammy! She's definitely gone!
The breeze from the bayou keeps murmuring harm
Tammy! Tammy! She bought the farm!
When the night is warm, soft and warm
I long for her charms!
I'd scream like a banshee
If she tries me harm!
Wish I knew if she knew I thought her a whore
Tammy, Tammy, Tammys no more!

If I happen to die in a motorcycle wreck...   Vincent Black Lightning by Del McCoury Band

Says James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world
Beats a 52 Vincent and a red headed girl
Now Nortons and Indians and Greeveses won't do
They don't have a soul like a Vincent 52
He reached for her hand and he slipped her the keys
He said I've got no further use for these
I see angels on Ariels in leather and chrome
Swooping down from heaven to carry me home
And he gave her one last kiss and died
And he gave her his Vincent to ride

Run With the Devil

Shouldn't the song you choose reflect something about the manner in which you died.  I can see a couple options:

Drown ? - Team Sleep Ataraxia
DIAF ?- The Platters Smoke Gets in Your Eyes
OD? -   Nina Simone Feeling Good
Killed by jealous ex ? - April March Chick Habit
Die in your sleep (lucky) ? - Sleep Walk (everyone's done this song but the Deftones and Les Paul have good versions)

The Limousines - The Future

And when we die, our empty bodies turn to dust
There'll be no pit of fire, no angels singing songs for us
There's nothing we can say that people won't forget someday
There's nothing we can do that matters...and that's okay

I would hope that the party, the fist fights, the drunken piper, the fireworks, the gun play, the sirens and bull horns would drown out the drunken DJ.  I know a number of women that will attend just to make sure I'm dead because they've told me they will.
Norman Greenbaum's kinda cool
Hell Bound Train -Savoy Brown
Most anything by AC-DC
Mad Marge and the Stone Cutters - Shake
Slayer's cool

"Fanfare for the Common Man" is an Aaron Copeland joint.

"Take Five" was written by Paul Desmond, Dave Brubeck's pianist.

Play 'Stand' by Sly and the Family Stone for me, thanks.
