Dancin_In_Anson: The only thing that I ask is that I be cremated (they won't let me be dumped in my pasture for the birds of the air and the beasts of the field to dispose of me)

Donate your body to a Body Farm. They chuck you into a field and let you decompose, while studying the effects to further the science behind establishing times-of-death and such.

Natural, and lets you fight crime from beyond the grave...

gfid: IIRC, Lesh wrote this for his father as he was dying of cancer. Good choice.

yeah, the story as i recall was his dad was slowly dying, Phil went to go see him pretty regularly, and then on one of the last visits, Phil wanted to write a song for him, enter Hunter.  As hunter describes it, the words came out damn near fully formed. there's a quote in my memory of hunter saying something like, "the words flew out of my pen" or "the paper stole the words from my pen".

not sure if phil wrote the music for that with or without jerry, think the former.  one of the few "Lesh/Hunter" songs.  neithe rjerry nor weir authored it that we know of.

obamadidcoke: Easy "Body of an American" by the Pogues

Was going to suggest this, so instead I'll go with Re: Your Brains by Jonathan Coulton.

Really, though, I could not care less.  As long as people make a good party out of the occasion, they can play what they want.
