Deen's publicist later told the program that although Deen flew to New York, she was too exhausted from traveling to make the appearance.

She sounds lazy and shiftless.

Did they try offering her a butter sculpture in the shape of her head for her greenroom, no questions asked.

Are we finally gonna rid the culture of this racist walking heart-attack?

Are you suggesting...*whips off sunglasses*...they butter her up?

To be fair to Paula, I really hate people who nag also.

So, does the headline mean she didn't drop an appearance?

2013-06-21 11:40:30 AM
She found out the Today Show is filmed in NYC and there are a lot of n*ggers there so she bailed.

He's a fat man who hasn't had enough to eat in a decade.

He could roast her alive and eat her on the set.

Show of hands, who WASNT already offended by Paula Deen in some way?

Reminds of Justin Wilson, an old Louisiana Cajun cook that used to come on PBS years ago.  When he pronounced the word "vinegar", you could TELL that he had lots of practice saying the N-word.

I think I have only ever watched her show once.  I was home with the flu, so I was taking in the rare pleasure of daytime television.

Anyway, she had her husband on the show that day, which may or may not be a rare thing.  What I remember was she kept saying his name, Mike, Michael, Mikey...  anytime she had anything to say she dropped his name.  She had to say it over one hundred times.  Old Mikey seemed somewhat beaten down in the first place, so I kept expecting him to explode.  "say my name one more time and imma stick you!"

that might have happened.  I fell asleep before the show ended.

\\cool story bro

It's getting to the point where people aren't understanding the connotation of that one.  Which I take as a good sign.

why do people care about what old white southern racists that cook butter in butter say? shouldn't we focus on the old white southern racists that change district lines to win elections and actually act on their racism to keep a brotha down? at least she was imagining a world where black people wore white server's suits and not orange jumpsuits.

to be clear, i despised this woman before she exposed herself as a racist... this was not surprising and didn't do much to move the needle, as it was already pretty low...

I don't think I've ever seen someone else whose perpetual smile did a worse job of hiding the megatons of biatch gleaming from her eyes.

If she dropped the n-word 20 years ago nobody would give a damn. This is about a current lawsuit which claims she used such language and discriminatory actions in a business environment. She fantasized about hiring an all-black staff for what she admits to characterizing as a "really southern plantation wedding." Her "southern upbringing" excuse does not hold water. Savannah is not exactly Appalachia back country. How long has she been in the public eye? She's had an awfully long time to lose those bad habits.

Because the former keep voting for the latter.

There is no way Paula Deen is dropping a 20 lb deep fried honey glazed butter ham, even if she has to put it in her hot pocket.

Man...  That woman is such a fraud.  It's just kind of an amazing indictment of our society that people actually listen to her and like her.  She's like Sandra Lee with padding.

Despite being an unapologetic Liberal, I find incidents like this disturbing because it's getting to the point where even the accusation of using some "racial slur" is enough to sink an empire, even if there is no concrete proof that such a thing ever occurred. Are we that hyper-sensitive of a society where you can accuse someone of something like that, have no actual evidence that it occurred, and by heresay alone reduce them to a pariah?

If she didn't hate black people Id say he's the one that has to fear being eaten, she easily outweighs him
