Partaking in politics means that you reap what you sow.

But Vos said he believed the fault lay not with the background check by Walker's office but with Inglett if the student had not disclosed signing the petition. He said the governor has to have confidence in all his appointees.

So, having ever expressed doubt or concern in the ability of the executive is grounds for dismissal?

Next: "Are you now or have you ever been a member of the Democrat Party?"

F*cking petty-ass Republicans.  Grow up assholes.

I dont like Walker. Never have an never will. However this really isnt that big of a deal. These folk serve at the pleasure of the Governor. I expect decent people of good character to call Walker out on his bullshiat and pressure him to act l;ike a grown-up.  Hopefully they will.

Interestingly enough, some evidence managed to slip through the Ezra revision and compilation of the Torah that the Israelites once believed that (A) the LORD (YHWH) was not the only God, (B) nor was He even the "Most High" (Elyown), and (C), that the LORD didn't choose the Israelites. They were assigned to Him by Elyown as His inheritance.

This isn't a really big deal, but it is indicative of someone who doesn't give a shiat about the rules unless they benefit them.

FTFA:

State law calls for the governor to appoint members of the regents with the consent of the Senate. It does not explicitly say the positions are nonpartisan, but states "no sectarian or partisan tests or any tests based upon race, religion, national origin, or sex shall ever be allowed or exercised in the appointment of the employees of the system."

Walker a farking wussy asshat. I was going to say he's the worst governor in the union for many many reasons, but Florida and Maine (and a couple of others) would have something to say about that.

Maybe he didn't anticipate that a governor would go rooting for partisan dirt on something as relatively petty as a university regents appointment.  Maybe he didn't expect that someone tasked with running the state would get a hard-on from punishing individual citizens for their political activities.

Granted, with Walker, he should have fully expected both, but that's not the point.

"He should have been honest and said, 'I signed the recall petition and I'm proud of it' or 'I signed it and I made a mistake,'" [Assembly Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester)] said of Inglett. "This is not like you're serving on some minor board."

Signing a petition is not illegal, nor is it unethical.  In fact it's a basic function and right of a citizen of a democracy and there's no reason it should have to be "disclosed" during vetting for any position.

The spirit of the law is clearly that the appointment not be based on political favoritism, which Walker brazenly violated.  This is a blatant punitive action against an individual, as well as a chilling-effect warning to other citizens not to oppose the governor politically.  Just another thing Scott Walker should be in prison for.

Why would you think I was talking about the Israelites?
Everyone knows that American's are God's chosen people.

And I would think that Jehovah actually not being the only god was self-evident.  He Himself said "thou shalt have no other gods before me" - logically implying that other gods have to exist which could have been put before Him.
