You mean this Samuel Phineas Upham?

The office of U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara in Manhattan dropped an October 2010 indictment charging Samuel Phineas Upham with one count of conspiracy to commit tax fraud and three counts of aiding in the preparation of false tax returns. Upham pleaded not guilty after his arrest on Nov. 29, 2010, in San Francisco.

Heck. I thought this is how you get invited to join the snobby country club nowadays.

Author went to Harvard with subject of article. I really wish that didn't happen so damn often.

From the article:

"A graduate of the Collegiate School, he dressed preppy and was a member of the Harvard chapter of the Ayn Rand cult."

Why am I not surprised?

Author did the guy a favor.   After trudging through page one of five I'm pretty sure I'll never google this guy's name every again.

People are really stupid.  Let's see here: evade paying taxes and pay $300K to make sure no one knows about it, or just pay your farking taxes.  Doesn't seem like a hard choice to me.  But then again, guys like Hovind and Snipes have chosen otherwise...

I'm sure Ferb had something to do with as well.  Did Candace rat them out?
say, where's Ferry?

Read this and it will make sense....if that's what you want to call it.

UPHAM HIS ARSE

I don't know what Phineas Upham is so upset about his tax evasion arrest.  It's not like Phineas Upham molested a child.  It's not like Phineas Upham raped a goat, all he did was tax evasion, possibly while thinking about raping a goat, which got him arrested.

What did not happen was Phineas Upham abusing children at an orphanage.

He probably would have spent less time on it and it would ahve cost less then. Sounds like some of the smarties I work with.

Lucky me-- I share a first and last name with a fairly successful actor, and a last name with an entire class of kidney diseases.

I would probably have to do something a lot more noteworthy than tax evasion to get to the top of a Google search, even if you used my middle name.

/Not that it matters, considering how crappy my career path is going.

Who needs reputation if you've got money to pay someone to make you look better.  The question is,  better for what?  Superior education doesn't guarantee a stellar character.  Just as money can't buy happiness.

Wait, are we talking about Samuel Phineas Upham the tax cheat, or Samuel Phineas Upham the cat-punching kiddy diddler?

Third rate whore in Toronto: Superior education doesn't guarantee a stellar character.

Really? How many people who really know Lake Superior don't have a stellar character?

The rodeo clown's routine is not really relevant here.

Looks like money down the drain. The 2nd link on duckduckgo is a pdf on the indictment.

"I tried to interview Phin Upham for this article but he had to be at the gym in 26 minutes."

/incredibly well researched and written article
/going to be an awkward reunion
