Salem Witch: Guess who decided to make an appearance.

Yay! Freddy, where ya been? Good to see you again!
That face has so much personality...

~*~*~*~*
Took a few hours last night for Casper and Raven to get back to the 'friend' level they'd acheived that morning.
They then spent 2 hours playing 'safety tag'- Raven chasing Casper, and Casper running to the 'safe zones' i.e., under the furniture, where Raven can no longer fit. Casper would jump out, try for Raven's tail and then run like hell. They were enjoying it...although Casper was doing the kitten "I has a FIERCE!" with the arched back and sideways bounce, Raven's body language and tail said she was having fun.

predle: sherpa18: I wonder what I could charge if I started a pet sitting service, which would include all of the above, plus options for administering pills, injections, sub-q fluids, nail trimming.....hhmmm, Dragon Enterprises would be a good name...
/ i really gotta consider this....
Yes you should sherpa. I used to take care of pets, still do occasionally, I got a few jobs using care-dot-com. I think they work in most areas. Just think of all the babies you could take care of.

Yeah, I am going to look into this tomorrow morning - see what services are available in my area, and if there might be a demand for what I would be able to offer. I could do something that I love (taking care of animals) and just may be able to make some much needed $$. Sounds like a win win situation to me. Thanks for the encouragement.

Time will tell how it goes....

WOW! What kind of camera did they have to catch that shot?!
The spped at which hummingbirds move, it's pretty impressive.

Home, finally to what looks like temp threadsend (ft of pg 19). Overlords & -ladies fed & otherwise tended to.  Visiting Coach did quite well, highly appreciated.  Some of her hints really never had been heard before, at least not stated that way.
Has been said a number of times, quality is preferred to achievement of KiloKitty almost every time.  KiloKitty with good intelligent posts of lurvly cats is double bonus..  More than made up for it last time, which I still haven't seen many of the pages of!  Did happen to have catptioned all them KiloKitty pix tho --
Haven't yet checked my incoming e-mail, may need to rattle bushes for El Pres's column for local radio rag. I'm meant to have that into distrib by tomorrow (not the tomorrow that's in 5 minutes tho!). -- later tomorrow.
On that note, the Bb that happily no longer sounds here to herald computer crash, I'll wish all y'all our Very Best & hope a Better Week can be found by those who need/could use one.

Actually, that's not a hummingbird.
I believe it's a bird called a "Bee Catcher" (honestly).
A fast shutter speed can catch a hummingbird. The real trick is to have it be slow enough that you
get a little bit of wing blur so it doesn't look like it's a fake. Same thing with prop driven aircraft.

sherpa18: tigerose: Ok, so, the pet sitter would charge 28.00 per day to feed kitteh, play wif him and do litter box duty..would this be a good price? In previous yrs, we had the neighbors do it, but last year we came back to cat poo, an empty water bowl, and a very unhappy kitteh.

Holy crap. Seriously? I wonder what I could charge if I started a pet sitting service, which would include all of the above, plus options for administering pills, injections, sub-q fluids, nail trimming.....hhmmm, Dragon Enterprises would be a good name...

When I first went on a fixed income pet sitting was how I paid for human and cat food. I take care of people now, which I am starting to hate.

How many time are they coming per day? I haven't used a pet sitter in 10 years but back then the going rate was $10 - $15 per visit, depending on what all needed to be done (medicating pets, walking dogs, wound care, etc. pushed it to the higher end). What I liked was that the service also included bringing in the mail and watering houseplants.

I'm guessing that it depends on the area of the country, I charged $10 three years ago and that was really low.
