When my father passed away a couple years ago he'd pre-planned everything much, much easier.

Even if you don't pre-plan/pre-pay for your funeral, make sure your wishes are well-known, written down and very specific.  The fewer choices your bereaved have to make at that time the better.

/I've told the wife to burn the body.
