Amish Tech Support: Ok America,Why are we all suddenly enraged by something that has been going on for years? So next week are we all going to discover the atrocities in Vietnam?
snocone: Thunderpipes: Thing that worries me, is this administration is using government agencies like the DOJ, IRS, EPA to brazenly target politcal opponents. I could see them using drones to simply spy on conservatives. It is brazen only because EVERYBODY does it, all the time, regularly, when it is their turn. That standard practice is now no longer just a rumor, brazen.
IdBeCrazyIf: I'm still shocked that anyone is honestly still surprised at this
verbaltoxin: Voiceofreason01: bdub77: The important thing is that all of these 'scandals' are really just a way to waste everyone's time on an issue that will never go away whilst simultaneously Congress does absolutely f*cking zero.I've got an entire roll of aluminum foil that you can just have if you're willing to come over and get it.[content.costco.com image 300x300]
Krumet: "...such drone use is done in a "very, very minimal way, and very seldom."Yes, I'm raping you, but I only stick it in for 30 seconds, and only once a month. So we're good, right?
nmemkha: They can monitor me from the sky all they want. All they will discover is that I don't spend much time on my roof.
bdub77: The important thing is that all of these 'scandals' are really just a way to waste everyone's time on an issue that will never go away whilst simultaneously Congress does absolutely f*cking zero.
verbaltoxin: PanicMan: cefm: There's a world of difference between armed remote-control aircraft being used to kill people in foreign countries that we are not at war with and the use of remote-control aircraft here in the US for entertainment, for competition, to take mapping or survey photographs, to deliver pizza, or to take photo/video of a crime scene. What the loonies in the media and Congress are doing very successfully right now is attempting to take the legitimate moral ethical and legal outrage over #1 and transfer it to #2 because it's the FBI and that means it's Obama and he bad.No citizen of the United States has any legitimate reason to object to the FBI using a remote-control aircraft to take photos of, film, and otherwise provide situational awareness of a crime scene. It's a 100% legitimate investigative tool and unless it somehow interferes with the FAA's flight paths (unlikely) it is 100% legal as it is currently used.So go take a cold shower and rub one out on some Ayn Rand books, Mr. Tea-Bag idiot, there's no story here. This this and this. They fly a small UAV with a camera around active crime scenes. That's perfectly legitimate. Also, anyone who uses the term "drone" is probably not informed enough on the topic to speak inteligently.I'm very infromed on the topic, though.
Deep Contact: Then how come they missed the guy in the boat?
Amish Tech Support: Ok America,Why are we all suddenly enraged by something that has been going on for years?
kindms: During the RNC in NYC several years ago they deployed a Surveillance blimp to keep tabs on the demonstrators
