Lost Thought 00: If all jobs were fun, people would do them for free and we would live in a communist paradise.
LL316: It's called work for a reason. Happy sunshine fun time is for after work.
MusicMakeMyHeadPound: I once had a job as a data analyst. I got bored, so I built a data warehouse. It saves the company over half a million per year plus opens up new business opportunities all while capitallizing on existing resources. My bonus? None. But I did get a raise of 1.5% of my salary. I actually lost money when you figure in inflation.I completely stopped working for them at that point, but they didn't know it until a year later.
jgi: I'm in the second camp of "not engaged" workers. Going through the motions. I'm in IT consulting. No challenge, boring, rarely get an interesting project, but I'm paid well and have good benefits. Maybe I'm just not interested in IT anymore. Sometimes I creep into "actively disengaged" but that's more effort than it's worth. Guess I'll just keep Farking until I've got enough money to quit.
skinink: Better than being laid off or fired. In most cases anyways.
