FarkinHostile: Big deal. He was an actor that just about none of you even knew IRL. An actor. Meanwhile, thousands of people who spent their lives doing good for others died in anonymity and no one gives a shiat. Also, is anyone really surprised? He was grossly overweight and didn't seem like he had too many healthy habits. That is what happens to you when you disrespect your body; you die too young.I just don't get all the faux grief and sadness over an actor whose most famous role was a criminal maggot piece of shiat.
stonicus: NorCalLos: Crewmannumber6: december: the ending is a constrained choose your own adventure. they laid the pieces for a handful of very plausible outcomes. pick whichever you want most and think of that as the real ending of the show. there is no one right answer.it's not the most satisfying way to end a show, but it is original and consistent with Chase's non-handholding style of writing./compare with Lost -- no one gives a shiat about the show anymore given how bad the ending was.Oh yeah? Well, Di Caprio was still dreaming at the end of Inception, so there. What happened at the end of Vanilla Sky?He wakes up in the future, his face fixed, but his money all gone and everyone he knew and loved dead. It's not exactly a cliffhanger, because they kinda straight up tell you what happens.
555-FILK: thamike: F*CKING F*CK.ALL, I was just reading this:http://masterofsopranos.wordpress.com/the-sopranos-d efinitive-explanat ion-of-the-end/Kind of long but it's there if you want to check it out.
Carth: But it is 100% certain that obesity increases the risk for heart attacks and kills thousands of people a year well before they need to die.I agree we can't be sure Gandolfini died because of his weight but that doesn't mean it isn't worth mentioning. We can't be sure gun control measures would stop mass shootings but it is still a topic talked about every time there is a tragedy. The reason both are brought up isn't out of disrespect to the dead but to try and preserve the living. As for poor taste? You've been on fark 8 years. my comments are tasteful compared to many in RIP threads.
Crewmannumber6: NorCalLos: What happened at the end of Vanilla Sky?I woke up and turned off the TV
NorCalLos: What happened at the end of Vanilla Sky?
100 Watt Walrus: Tom Cruise took the world's longest elevator ride for the sake of getting through a lot of clumsy exposition, then he managed to make a maybe-suicide almost anti-climactic, then the credits rolled, I went home, and watched the original, infinitely superior, "Open Your Eyes" and saw a topless Penelope Cruz, playing the same character much better.
