Ah, they're using anti-smoker logic, like how if a guy is hit by a bus while smoking a cigarette, it's automatically a "smoking-related death".

It's like alcohol related traffic accidents. If a sober driver is speeding at 110mph in the wrong direction on the freeway and plows head on into a minivan driving 55 in the correct lane, whose driver happened to have a glass of wine with dinner, it's an alcohol related crash.

Or if you're going ten kph over the speed limit and some jackoff slams into you it's a speed-related accident.

I really feel sorry for all of the innocent people who have such desperate medical conditions that they are forced to grow pot in their house.

All of that excrutiating pain must be unbearable for them.

Where does it say that the fire marshal is blaming the growing operation?

While officials believe the latter fire was related to unwatched cooking in the kitchen, they noted that equipment in the house for growing marijuana may not have met local codes.

Any time they can make excuses they will. It does not matter if it is a logical argument or not. Logic and Facts are apparently a political point of view in the world today.

I seem to recall someone who believes the DEA and Fed regarding the scheduling of Marijuana as Schedule 1 being correct. Is that you? [serious question]

We had an incident last week with a drunk guy making a turn in his mini van and someone on a motorcycle.  People were ready to hang the drunk, and wanted to have the bar near the intersection shut down and owners and bartenders arrested for letting this guy kill the biker.

Turns out he was not at that bar, he was turning down that street to go home. And the guy on the bike was doing between 80-90mph. Traffic cops say sober or not, it was not the drunk's fault. (Not that it makes drunk driving ok, but blame needs to be placed where it belongs)

QFT.  I got drunk in college once and had the lovely smoke alarm wake me up due to the blackened pizza I had in the oven.  Joking with my friends that pizza became 'the oven lovers pizza'.

This article says that the officials are blaming the stove, not the grow op.

But I guess we shouldn't let that little fact get in the way of our outrage.

Wait, am I reading this correctly? There's a Fire Marshall, and he's paid with tax money? How's an Arizona wing-nut supposed to react? On one hand you have anti-American peaceniks who do marijuana, but then there's the tyrannical G-man going around regulatin' whether or not a man can burn down his own doomsday compound.

"These growers need to know what they can and can't do with electrical circuits, gas powered machinery and equipment inside of a structure."

People on their way to work said, "Baby what did you expect?"

Why is this fire even mentioned at all in the article? Because the fire department's concern over grow ops is based on two recent incidents, one of which had nothing to do with the grow op. They're basically grasping at straws.

Because lots of fires have happened when people screw with wiring to grow their 85 plants. They raised it as a caution.

Put down the bong and read the article. Or is the glaucoma extra bad today?

"The department's concern comes in the wake of two recent fires" one of which wasn't caused by growing weed. I have no problem with them saying, "Hey now, be careful not to mess with your wiring or you could start a serious fire." But what they said is, "There have been two fires lately in houses where people were growing pot. You should all be careful so this doesn't happen to you." And then they casually left out the fact that one of the fires had NOTHING to do with the pot.

Maybe they updated the article.  The article currently states that the fire was not caused by the grow op.

It happens, you throw a pizza in, fall asleep, wake up to the smoke alarm and a wasted pizza... Ive stopped using non-timed appliances when partaking, then the worst case is a cold cooked pizza on the pizzazz in the morning.
