Were they also out of coffee?

Wow, having to use a napkin on my butt would make me never fly United again.

2013-06-19 02:38:28 PM
This is why I don't eat a lot before a long flight, and only certain foods. I'd rather have a hungry belly than have to shiat during a 10.5 hour flight.

OK, napkin is going in now.

If they had their last 3 or 4 meals in England, that must have been one evil stench.

As a pilot friend told me:  Any flight you walk away from is a good flight.

You're travelling at 600mph at 30,000ft.  Quit biatching about peanuts and a can of coke.

Yeah, but you're going to need some TP to make sure all the peanuts are cleaned up.

I bet those bastards up in first class got to use those little heated towels to wipe with, while the rubes back in steerage have to use those scratchy little napkins.

Breaking News: You are going to be treated like shiat by every airline until you reach a high enough loyalty status. Then you get upgraded to first class.

Except Frontier, which is like Southwest but instead of having fun attendants they have really plush seats with entertainment and real food.

That's why I always bring along a 24 pack of socks with me when I travel.  I could've made a freakin' mint on that flight.

2013-06-19 02:47:44 PM
I've always flown JetBlue, never had trouble with them. Nice seats, good free food and drink. CSB: On my last flight I made the flight attendant laugh with some self-depricating humor, so she "forgot" to charge me for the three Jack Daniels spritzer-things I ordered.

/and yes, strippers like me too

Not as much anymore.  United has been selling those first-class upgrades to Ma and Pa Kettle since 3/3/12 before giving them to elite flyers.

You're never out of TP as long as you have an issue of SkyMall.

2013-06-19 02:51:46 PM
If you dumb-farks would stop using 1/4 of a roll of paper to wipe your ass every time, this wouldn't be a problem.  I can't tell you how many times I walk into a stall at work and the Farking thing is clogged solid because some dumb-fark has 3 lbs of toilet paper in the bowl.  Your shiats cannot be THAT bad....if they are, see a doctor, or an excercist (sp?).

This is the problem with the internet. 20 years ago this would have been nothing more than an amusing anecdote some traveler would tell his friends in the office, now we snap a picture, upload it to the web and write a news story about it.I've run out of TP at home and used napkins, it's really not the end of the world people, grow up!

20 years ago, airlines wouldn't have hired companies that are so damn cheap.

You get what you pay for.

That all depends if you had Skyline Chili for lunch.

As a point of honor the CEO of United decrees that all execs would go without wiping for a week to show solidarity with the customers they serve.

20 years ago an airline tickets cost 2-3x what they do today.

Better read the fine print

*  This applies only to toilet paper, $100 bils are still ok.

No comment. I wouldn't get on a commercial flight for love nor money.

I'm seeing shiat-stained underpantses.

Ah yes, a US carrier?  lol of course.  Why would anyone fly any US airline internationally?.........Cathy Pacific, UAE, Singapore ...hell yes.......Seriously fark the US airlines....some of the worst in the world. (Yes there are worse, however, small shiat stained countries do not count)

I'm curious: for travel between the U.S. and Europe, what airline(s) would Farkers recommend?

/considering a trip from San Francisco to London in the not-too-distant future
//according to the Heathrow website, nonstop flights are available with United, British Airways, and Virgin Atlantic

Now see, if there had been babies on that plane, there would have been baby wipes available.  Just sayin'.

Probably cheaper than what an airline would charge for a square of toilet paper. With its linen content, a well-worn dollar bill could be pretty comfortable too. Hmm... BRB.

BA is better than any major American, but is not as nice as anything out of SE Asia or the Middle East. Swiss Air is money, too. DC's Dulles airport has s***tons of them, and MAN, are they nice.

In my experience, BA is just fine, again better than what you're used to stateside. Swiss Air was HEEEEAAAAAVEN, son. Heaven. Still my best intl flight ever. I was able to see the direct comparison because we were stuck on an American DC-10 (United? Delta?) which had a/c problems for 3 hrs before they moved our group to a Swiss Air DC-10, presumably through some partnership. Night and Day. I cannot stress enough that it was Night. And. Day. Unlimited drinks, as much food as you want (first meal not enough? No worries, here), gorgeous stewardesses, friendly to boot, and (this will come as a huge surprise) the Swiss/German passengers were, overall, much more considerate than their American counterparts on the same flight (our group included). Quiet, didn't hog space...it was wonderful.

Beware: it will ruin all domestic flights for you afterwards, especially long ones. My IAD->SFO flight years later made this clear.
