I cry for the constitution because folks like you and the people you pick to represent your views shiat all over the document that set this nation apart and made it special.

You weren't crying for it on September 12.

Jake Havechek: muck4doo: Jake Havechek: But but but Bush!

It is relevant.

Conservatives cried about cruise missile strikes that went awry, so they could blame a Democrat.  Then suddenly, they cared not a whit about Iraqi and Afghan civilians being blown to bits.  Now they suddenly support people who declare war against their own countries.

It's a crazy world.

It's a crazy world when you cry about one guy, but are perfectly okay and excuse the crimes of another, becuase.....He did it first!

One guy like John Walker Lindh or Jose Padilla?

Still avoiding the obvious I see.

So now it's fine because Obama did it? You hated it then, but now see it as a grand tool? This could have been stopped by guess who, Obama.

This is the crap I hate on all these boards, you see something you don't like, you shouldn't suddenly approve of it because some politician that you like suddenly likes it. It's a bad law, and should be gotten rid of.

You sure seem to "know" quite a bit about how everyone else felt or how they reacted to things in the past... are you with the NSA?

Dones need to farking die. Like...holy fark. The US needs to issue an official apology for this and pull drones out of the area altogether.

Oh really.

I'm goddamn old enough to remember the outrage and anger following the Soviet invasion in 1979.  As I recall, the GOP got mad at Carter for not doing anything about it.

Now the REAL nightly entertainment will come once those who are of such a mind start putting wings on IEDs, hook 'em up to the tubes, and fly 'em around sporting events, large gatherings, etc. Have a look at the drone flying around the protests in Turkey (before it was shot down by police).. that will give you an idea of what's to come.. once the tech can support heavier, denser payloads.

/Drones won't be for just for the rich and powerful anymore.
//I LEARNED IT FROM YOU, OK???!?!?!

As a matter of fact I knew the attack was going to be used as justification for all sorts of BS when the ra ra ra started. And I called bush out for his BS then as I call Obama on his.

I watched many of my neighbors buried in the weeks following that attack. Still doesn't make it ok to ignore the laws that define our country.

So you are wrong. I wasnt cheerleading war or any other crap as a result of 9/11.

Killing people w/o charging them of crimes so that they have no ability to confront the charges or accusers stands in direct contradiction to what this country claims are its ideals.

Everybody is wrong.

Our involvement in Vietnam started with FDR in WWII with OSS support of Ho Chi Minh . FYI We also gave some support to Mao. During Ike's administration we gave a lot of support to the French trying to reestablish their colonial rule. There is some opinion that had Ike provided the B-29 support the French requested during the battle of Dien Bein Phu the outcome of the Vietnam war would have been different

This argument about who gave support to who is nonsense. It would be like complaining about FDR and Truman providing support to Stalin during WWII.

It boils down to an "enemy of my enemies situation". Overtime alliances changed as nations' interests change so do their alliances. Yesterday's friend can be tomorrow's enemy and vice versa.

Maybe he wasn't an American you liked. That makes it okay to drone strike his ass.

c'mon, tell us what a great American he was and how proud of him you are and that what happened to him was an injustice to all Americans & that your aren't being obtuse as he was a true Patriot.

c'mon, no questions, no misdirection, what about the man did you respect enough to use him as an anti drone martyr.

I respected his rights as an American citizen.

I agree, Drones are a waste of time, money, and effort.  Get them out of there.
They just get in the way of the carpet bombing anyway, which is what we really should be doing.

No apologies.  The Terrorists are still attacking us.  They do that, because the "civilians" do nothing to stop them, even though they know who is involved and who is doing the attacks.  That makes them just as guilty as the attackers themselves.

here's an idea for ALL of those mideast nations who seem bent on destroying the west and converting everyone involuntarily to the nation of extreme islamic law. how bout you quit harboring radical islamists and let the world live in peace? scared of the drones? turn in the radical jihadist who is planning an attack on any western people.i realize the drones make you scared, but how do you think it makes the western world feel when people of islamist ilk kill and dismember western folk for no other reason then being western in the first place? you call us barbarians but you kill us indiscrimanatly regardless of what each and every individual believes? and you would expect us to act any differently? ive long said, draw a line on the map and just put some evil drawing on it and say"there be monsters there" and sadly, the line has always be drawn around your countries. if you want to live in the stone age, fine, just quit screwing with the rest of the world. you talk about western conquests but it really seems like the islamist world is the one bent on conquest. you seem to think we should bend to your will. it's not gonna happen. the rest of the world will continue to evolve for better or worse which is the natural way things happen. and if you continue to threaten us,you will likely continue to see western technology hovering over your heads. give us no reason and we will likely leave you alone.
