OBAMA IS A FOREIGNER!
OBAMA ISN'T LIKED BY FOREIGNERS!

2013-06-19 10:31:25 AM
He needs to wear his Nobel Peace prize to these meetings.
That may help.

2013-06-19 10:32:56 AM
Nice subby.

2013-06-19 10:33:20 AM
Yes. Russia and China are "allies." Like Germany and Britain.

2013-06-19 10:33:36 AM
fark your ancestors to the eighteenth generation?

That's some top-notch profanity, right there. They should put the same effort into their adhesives and baby formula.

2013-06-19 10:36:25 AM
That phrase opens doors at the Beijing airport, especially if you keep saying it.

In addition to meaning "fark your ancestors to the 18th generation" the number 18 means "great prosperity" whereas for Republicans it is associated with the Saros cycles of luna and solar eclipses.

So the headline implies that only Italy and either Canada or the UK accepted Obama's friend request?

Well done subby.

Well, that escalated quickly.

Bush was not well liked internationally.  Continuation of the Bush International policy is not a recipe for success.

Maybe he should tell the Axis of Weasels that "Old Europe" doesn't matter anymore. . .

FTFA: . It was, Mr. Obama acknowledged, "a very blunt conversation."

Now that's funny.

Hey fartbongo....Nations do not have friends. They have interests.

Well, now, wait a minute.  Maybe wearing his medal to these meetings would act as a kind of ice-breaker, a kind of "See?  We mean you no harm" totem to relax the other attendees and demonstrate his peaceable aims.  If he doesn't want to appear too louche, he can have an attendant carry the medal on a small velvet pillow, ready to proffer it at the first sign of conflict.  It would serve as a powerful reminder to Putin or Xi or whomever, that you don't mess with the most peaceful man in the world.

So even trying to communicate with those we share the Earth with is a bad thing now? Or it's only a good thing if it's 100% successful and everything goes in our favor?

Hmmm

Yeah, I think you're right subby. He should have alienated them and threatened them the entire time. That would have been a LOT better...

Like many who voted for him, the international community had high hopes for Obama. Yes, he has disappointed us on some things, but he is still far better than the alternatives (McCain/Romney).

He's as native an American as you are, so he can use a totem, a talisman, a charm, a rabbit's foot or whatever he needs to use to convince these world leaders to abandon their petty concerns and join him in building a transformed world free of borders and boundaries.

The HELL you say!

Other countries do not align themselves with our national interest blindly!?!?! They have national interests of their own, that may or may not be mutually compatible with ours?!?!?!

The friendliness of the guy in the White House is NOT the determinative factor in geo-political relations?!?!?!?

Bbb-bb-but that's not what they told us when Bush was in Office!!! This is BULshiat!.

/Obama is not as good at this as he told us he would be.

So am I the only person that thinks nicknames for the president, like Fartbongo, aren't funny?

Also, foreign relations won't be Clinton-era good until we fix a whole lot of stuff between our borders. (hint hint Congress)

There's your liberal-biased press hard at work, taking advantage of every opportunity to write fluff pieces making a libby lib president look better than he is.  You can see why conservatives are so outraged.

I don't think he's terrible, just...mediocre.

Unfortunately, he was so incredibly over-hyped (and he over-hyped himself) that the gulf between what people were expecting and what he has actually delivered make him seem more disappointing. Had John Kerry or Hillary won and delivered the same overall performance, we would be less disheartened, because, you know, yet another politician doing their four years.

I really wish he had ruin ion 2016, when he was a bit more experienced, a bit more refined, and a bit more leavened. It's a bit of a shame that our first black president will probably end up being "meh" for his fans, and hated by his critics.
