Lost Thought 00: RUBIN ALERT
AngryDragon: Who the fark is running circles around us? I thought this was an Onion article.
Ned Stark: He's had thousands upon thousands of people killed. What the hell would not eschewing hard power look like?
Headso: We didn't win the Cold War at the negotiating table. We won by continually challenging Communist aggression and maintaining a strong military that eventually helped bankrupt the Soviet Union.Too bad your father didn't die in Korea or VIetnam we wouldn't have to read your henhawking now. That's what your asking for right? thousands or hundreds of thousands of people to die, so I am not out of line wishing for your non existence.
gnosis301: I'm very ignorant of Cold War history, but it seems to me that he major instances in which the U.S. used hard power to stop the spread of Communism were met largely with either U.S. failure or stalemate. Bear in mind that I'm largely thinking of Vietnam and Korea, and can't really remember anything else. Let the berating begin!
Mentat: AngryDragon: Who the fark is running circles around us? I thought this was an Onion article.Putin stole Bob Kraft's Super Bowl ring and then threw shade at the President, which proves that American is in decline and the Ottoman Empire gains all of America's overseas possessions.
I_Am_Weasel: It's easy to be critical when your decisions won't end up getting people dead.
Philip Francis Queeg: To a certain extent, the same is true with regard to China. Obama is content to cut our Navy, remain inert when it comes to the South China Sea and invite the Chinese for joint naval exercises. Why does it then come as a shock that China won't budge on cybersecurity? So, how exactly do we use the Navy to make China conform on cybersecurity? Airstrikes on their server rooms?
coeyagi: //Ned, don't lose your head, man.
qorkfiend: Thousands upon thousands?
Crazy Lee: Reinstitute the draft, for both sexes, with no farking exemptions. Then we'll put these little adventures up to the voters. Best build a shiatload more drones.
