Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms should be a convenience store, not a government agency.

When questioned about the bust, agents reportedly said it was "easy as 123".

I had moonshine once.  I made the guy drink some first because I didn't particularity trust him and I like being able to see stuff.  All he gave me was a thimble cap's worth, it gave me a good buzz.

Summercat: What's a Form Ranch?

It's where forms are raised for government bureaucrats. Forms don't grow on trees, you know. They are grown on factory farms and free-range ranches.

Fun fact: Forms naturally give birth to triplets but breeding as managed to create forms that can give birth to months worth of paperwork for small businesses and citizens.

Take the 1040 ... please.

FTA: "The bust was the direct result of information received by our agents," he said. "Our undercover operatives made numerous buys during the past several months, culminating in today's enforcement activity."

Translation: "We busted his ass when he stopped selling to us on the cheap"

A 4 Month investigation that leads to a whole bunch of misdemeanors ? And the only felony is because the guy had guns on a ranch where he makes shine ?

Sounds like a huge waste of money and use of undercover agents

I know that this is just Fark, the mods have other jobs, I'm a liter, etc. But how hard is it to spell and grammar check a headline on a website that gets millions of hits a day?

I live in Richmond, so I can say that this is no real loss. Moonshine from down in the Peninsula area is much better (try the apple pie!)

Crime is just another word for practical Libertarianism. Bootstrapey! Hurrah! Hip, hip, right-wing hippies, hooray!

Never mind the toxic lead content. That's just a Gubbermint conspiracy to prevent moonshiners and honest businessmen from making a profit. All regulation is bad. All bootstrapey is good for you, like home remedies and snakeoil. Nothing better than a bit of moonshine to wash down sulfer and blackstrap molasses, which if I recall correctly, is made of boot polish and old boot straps, so it's bootstrapey too!

Wood alcohol and copper sulphate are good for you. Bums thrive on the stuff.

Honestly how much did it cost to investigate for 4 months to bust this guy for really what is only a crime as he avoids taxes on the shine .

how much tax money is there on 339 gallons?

Trolls should be that bit of satire and that bit of silliness, but over the top material should be left for Stalone movies about trucking.

I had a jar (yes a jar) of that stuff in my freezer.  Tried a little, was pretty good.  Few weeks later had a bit more - pretty damn good. Then a week later I tried it again, and i realized how friggin awsome it is with little to know hangover; relatively speaking.

It went pretty fast after that.

I miss that jar.

Anyone who cooks with vessels made with lead could have lead in their food.  There is nothing unique about moon shiners that couldn't be true about any regular home brewer.  Maybe you have a problem with home brewers too?  Are they skimping out on the taxes you need to live on?  As long as we're being derpy, I'll join in.  You aren't all bootstrappy and out there cooking your own spaghetti sauce, are you?  Holly shiat, you probably have lead poisoning, you right wing tax avoiding extremist you!  Did you know that spag is made from bootstraps and botched abortions?
