Which is why I never comment that we're going vacation until after we're back.

This is why you never start an argument on FB with someone who lives close to you.

Also if you don't want to invite burglars arsonists and vandals you don't post something like this on FB and leave it on the public setting (or even private if you're one of those people who have stuffed your friends list with complete strangers):

"Wish us luck! We're going on a three week cruise to Alaska and the Northwest Passage. Toodles. We'll post lots of pictures when we get back!"

Well, there's their problem.

But... they NEED all those people to be able to keep their farm!

True although you can often achieve the same thing by proxy.  If one person in the chain is a 'random people stuffer' and you're high up the chain than they are... it used to be possible to view your 'private' stuff.

I honestly can not remember if Facebook ever changed this "friend of a friend" weakness.

Jesus, what language was that article translated from? It reads like one of those Hindi newspapers when they use Google Translate to reprint a Pravda article.

Imagine what could transpire just from a bad Politics tab thread...

Wow TFA is just chock-full of great lines.  "I wish I was back on drugs, because at least then I'd have an excuse".  "I'm going to be smart and not tell you why I started the fires".  "I never wanted to do it in the first place and never enjoyed it"

You can set your posts to only show to friends or to friends of friends. If the friends of your friends are seeing your statuses and you don't want them to, then you need to fix your settings.

No one needs a facebook.

We should ban it.

If we can save, just one, child.

So now we know what sparked the arsons?

No, but a person still has the option of accepting a friend of a friend.  I get a request like that and it gets ignored, just because you are friends with someone I know doesn't mean I'm interested in being your friend.

Death penalty.  If you are willing to set someone's house on fire because of a comment on facebook you really should not be allowed to live.

I didn't get it, but I'm OK with that.

Or maybe it's because there's nothing better to do on the Eastern Shore than to set things on fire.
