"MA search the home Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez"

no, they said it right, when he get house arrest for killing someone, he will only be able to play in Foxborough, so he will only be used in their home games, therefore he will be the "home TE" for the Pats.

That's it! It's a set up! Jesus boy is working his way up the depth chart. Don't be surprised if the next thing we hear about is a catastrophic anesthesia error during one of Gronk's biweekly surgeries.

Since this is Fark, he's guilty. Regardless of whether he is actually ever charged, tried, or convicted. From now on he is Aaron Murderandez.

And every time there is a headline related to him, the Patriots, the AFC East, the NFL, football, or murder, you can expect "remember when Aaron Murderandez killed a guy?" jokes.

Consistency is important.

There's a tragedy here, but honestly within this I see a good sign:  A number of years ago he would have been arrested for being a minority - with tatoos mind you - in an afluent Massachusetts neighborhood.  Now he's associated with a murder and he's still a free man.  Dr. King should be proud.
John Dennis and Gerry "Ku Klux" Callahan, on the other hand, are fuming.

There are some updates to the story today that make this  look a lot worse for Hernandez, inclusing his initial refusal to cooperate with authorities, the attempt to f two men to flee his house when police showed up, and a mysterious package, hand-delivered to Hernandez, sent  from a prominent local law Firm, that was delivered during the search.

Apparently Gisele was provoked on an elevator and lashed back, yelling that her husband can't kill people AND properly dispose of the bodies by himself.
Also, they're looking for a silver Chrysler 300 with Rhode Island plates.

I find it amazing that the WBZ "newsreader" refers to Hernandez as a "Patriots receiver" instead of "Patriots tight end".  Then again, given the depths journalism has sunken to, maybe not.

Also amazed that ESPN isn't beating this to death.  All I see is Heat this, Heat that, some Matt Ryan crap and some soccer gibberish.

Even assuming he is completely innocent, I can't really think of a scenario where a car rented out in your name is found by the site of a crime scene where the victim is widely known as an "associate" of yours without a very bad decision or two being made by you somewhere along the way.

So, yeah, great "inner circle" you have there, Aaron.

ESPN is based in Bristol. They LIKE the Patriots. They won't report anything bad happening to Hernandez except for the most bare minimum.

espn doesn't have a great track record of reporting on stuff that actually matters regardless of topic

it took them over a day to say anything about Paterno-Sandusky, but it took them less than an hour to report on Ochocinco's bullshiat

By and large, ESPN is not equipped to handle anything that transcends sports into either hard news or social issues. Just look at what happened when Chris Broussard was asked something not directly involving basketball regarding Jason Collins.

They've made their bed in the "show highlights and be a soft-TMZ for sports" field.

Or it could just be a developing story and nothing bad has happened to him yet. And they could be running a ticker that reports the story at the bottom of all 9 of their channels indicating nothing has really happened yet.

But no, it's probably that stupid thing you said. They really like the Patriots.

And even though they're equipped to handle sports, they choose not to.

As for Hernandez, at least at this point it looks pretty bad.

On the one hand, they do like the Patriots. On the other hand, yes, the reason it's not the main story is because it's yet to be determined who is at fault - if it's not Hernandez, then it's relatively irrelevant to sports and doesn't merit their coverage.

This reminds me.  What do you guys think LeBron James thinks of this entire investigation?

The whole shame of this is that ESPN has Mike Fish on their staff, stolen from SI.  If they put him on this, he'd probably have every answer they need.

Lolololz, yea, thats one I just saw too. The suit was dropped for incomplete paperwork, but is being refiled. The guy is claiming the bullet traveled through his body, into his face, and blew out his eye.

That Tebow pickup doesn't look so stupid NOW, does it! He can't be worse at TE than a guy with a broken back or in jail, can he?
