This. That has to be the most evil thing to say, in the history of the species.

Maybe we should fight it out. With swords. Until all but one of us was beheaded...

Me: "I SAID, ISN'T it a shame they NEVER MADE a sequel to Highlander!"

You have the right perspective on the sequels. I mean, what sequels? I also wish they had made one.

Word on the street is that Fox is sitting on the film until they see how the game does.  It would stand to reason that Ryan would be clearing his schedule of lesser projects in the event that they move forward with the movie.  I mean, he's been championing the damn thing for what, 15 years now?

That could be good. He's been great in pretty much everything I've seen him in, esp. The Tudors. He actually has range.

My pick for Ramirez? Jean Reno.

She did do a pretty good job in Waco.

That.  And I love it for it.

Now is that very nice? Here I am, taking the time and effort to troll JUST you, all special and all, and the only thanks I get is a 'you're dead to me'? Surely you can do better than that!

Here: not only did Mercury have mediocre talent, Brian May can't play the guitar any better than Miley Cyrus!

Well rumors has it that it will be rated R, and Deadpool will be breaking the 4th wall? Now how they fix all the shiat they did to Deadpool in the Wolverine movie? No idea. I'd rather have Deadpool be a part of SHIELD and Avengers than XMen, because he fits with that group more at least when it comes to the movies. Tony Stark and Deadpool together would be so full of win. Or a Deadpool cartoon show would be pretty biatching too.

They have the rights until 2016 IIRC.

whistleridge:

Here, have a vastly better recording of Bohemian Rhapsody than those fools could ever have dreamed of doing (NSFWish video).

Well.  That was bizarre.  A shakycam studio recording interspersed with softcore porn and surrealism involving a sunscreen bottle?

Hey, what would it look like if Freddie Mercury and Frank Sinatra got into an argument about who was better?

Because Origins was a sloppy cash grab made with no love for the source material?

I was going to say "stupidity", but that also works.

I agree an actual Scot should play MacLeod, but Angus MacFadyen may be too old.
Just make sure this guy is in it in some capacity.

YES, YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS~! OMG that would be awesome.

Now how they fix all the shiat they did to Deadpool in the Wolverine movie? No idea.

Either an origin story, or they just forget it ever happened.

I'd rather have Deadpool be a part of SHIELD and Avengers than XMen, because he fits with that group more at least when it comes to the movies.

Can't; he's part of the X-verse.  Doesn't mean you can't do a Quicksilver however.

Tony Stark and Deadpool together would be so full of win.

A superhero version of "Lethal Weapon"?!   (shutupandtakemymoney.jpg)

Or a Deadpool cartoon show would be pretty biatching too.

Either FX or HBO if you're going all the way with it.

I'd pay good money to see Ryan Reynolds shirtless in a kilt.

That said, a Scotsman would be good to play the Highlander.

I could see Vinnie Jones as the Kurgan, but Clancy really nailed that role.  I would have Clancy's babies if I were young enough, not married, and ever had the chance of meeting him.

Kurgan = Mr Crabs (and I love him!)

Hollywood could save a lot of time and effort and money simply releasing the films they plan to remake.

It really is kinda neat to see movies on a large screen that most people have only seen on the TV.

stoli n coke: I don't even think it would be possible to make a decent remake. Highlander was the epitome of cheesy 80s sci-fi. FFS, the opening sequence has a wrestling match with the Fabulous Freebirds.

The unbelievably hammy acting from the lead, Sean Connery phoning it in for a paycheck, the kickass soundtrack by Queen, you just can't recreate that.

You can't really fault Christopher Lambert's acting. He didn't speak English at all at the time and learned all of his lines phonetically (like Lugosi in the original Dracula). As a matter of fact, when he and Diane Lane got married, he spoke no English and she spoke no French. There must have been some epic sex going on there...
