Oh, I seem to read about it a lot on here. There's another greenlight today about a man robbed and stripped naked.

Didn't want to get blood on them?

A pair of robbers held up two victims at a convenience store and a motel in the last week and demanded victims take off their pants.
Police say a robber demanded the man take off his pants.
Police believe it's the same robbers who held up a man in the motel.

The bit from the article I was trying to convey was "this guy steals everyone's pants, so we know which roberies he's responsible for"

They only take the pants so they don't have to make close contact they make them toss the pants to them that way they are sure they don't get held out on. Plus then they can see if the person has body booty on them for the street smart.

Really would being in your underwear stop you from giving chase? No underwear grab your shirt pull it down.
It may put some over the edge of feeling helpless I suppose, I'm just quick tempered.

Even my trousers are giving me pain
They were reduced in a sale so I shouldn't complain
They squeeze me so tight so I can take no more
They're size 28 but I take 34

It sounds like they have issues, so cut them some slack

The real story isn't that robbers don't frequently make people strip off their pants. It's that robbers usually fail to make the right people strip off their pants.

"You there, Ms. Johanssen! Throw me your cash and credit cards! No wait, just take off your pants! Take off your pants and I'll throw you my cash and credit cards!"

CSS time: I was waiting for the bus one day when a man drove up and rolled down his passenger side window to ask me for directions. He was nervous, a bit disheveled looking, and clearly was totally lost. You know the feeling when you're looking at something, and you know it's not quite right, but it takes about 10 seconds to dawn on you what the problem is? For me, it was absorbing the fact that although he had on a button-down shirt with a loosened tie around his neck, he had nothing else on (as far as I could see) below the waist. He was definitely trying to cover up as best he could by having one arm across his lap in an odd position, and was probably praying I wouldn't start screaming. Poor guy probably had something slipped into a drink the night before, was robbed, and then was left in his car in an unfamiliar part of the city. In the days before smart phones and GPS in cars, truly a conundrum.

/gave him directions as best I could
//presumably he made it home before running out of gas

Punctuation, how does it work?

Translated into normal English:
The thieves tell the victims to remove their pants and toss them over.  This has two advantages to the thief: he doesn't have to come into close contact with his victim, and he can check all the pockets to make sure he's getting everything the victim has.  Plus some whargarbl about big butts.

Didn't this happen in an old Reese Witherspoon flick. That red riding hood retelling with keifer Sutherland.
