I got the impression the writers said "I don't know what to do with this character. Let's kill her."

I thought the flashbacks in the finale to Roslin being a saucy cougar slut pre-apocalypse was rather unexpected.

Someone had to kill themselves to articulate the point that the sole thing giving them a sliver of hope for 4 years had just been ripped away.

The biggest surprised for me was when Hotdog, of all people, was the father of the baby. That was shiat.

It was ok.  6/10.  The good: It had some heart tugging scenes, good special effects, almost too much shaky cam, some lens flare (but appropriately used), and fight scenes that looks like what you would expect from god-like people.  The bad: some of the story made no sense.  No real connection to Superman and the humans... they barely knew he existed before they trusted him to be their hero.  The amount of collateral damage to any city would break the bank of any city.  And there are some other issues but I don't want to get too spoilerish.  Overall, not great, but not bad.

I'm sure it surprised the writers too, given it stank of post-cylon reveal ret-con panic.

Farkin' angels?  Dafuq.  So basically, GOD was a d!ck.  He let the colonies get destroyed, almost all of the humans get wiped out, jerked around the survivors until they team up with the skinjobs and find new Earth to settle.  Also still confused about the whole Kara viper explosion/crash land on 1st Earth which was nowhere close to where her viper exploded.  And of course, when she came back, she also materialized a duplicate viper?

BTW, what ever happened to her ovaries that were taken from her when she was captured?  They never addressed that again (or did they?  I forget).

I didn't mind it much, either.  It didn't make a lot of sense, but I enjoyed it.  The first 2.5 seasons are where it's at, though, for my money.

******possible spoilers******

His government ignored scientific data and doomed the planet.

The top scientist stole the key to their civilization.

The son of that scientist commits genocide.

I don't believe Zod was too far out of line. A much better developed character than his counterpart in Superman 2.

As for Superman Villians seeming to really like realestate plans, that is a different discussion.

She could show up at my house and tell me that dead mother was a zombie whore in hell and i'd still ask her out.
