Speaking of ancient liquids, I tried this a few weeks ago. Lovely stuff, surprisingly sweet and balanced for a blend.

We are exploring the inside of a planet that harbors life. This is unique. I've always wanted to see where the line ends for living stuff in the soil. When I as a kid I had a small sand-trap-style hole in the ground that I loved digging in. There was an ant colony and small fossils embedded in the rocks. Cool stuff.

What a wonderfully bizarre use of the word "anymore", anymore. Is that a regional thing?

Maybe. Hard to say which region, though.

Anyone from Austin? Actually I think Nebraska is a better example. Most of the water is those parts tends to come from million year old water (ok, not billion). Expect to be back in the "whisky is for drinkin' and water is for fightin' over stage when it runs out.

Fark if I know.  Every time I hear 'anymore' used like that, I kind stare off into space for a few seconds trying to work out how it means what they mean it to mean.  I guess it's fairly common, I'm not sure why it's so disconcerting.

You are only tasting what it has been sitting in.  When it got there long ago, it probably tasted much differently.  Possibly less salty.

Because nothing is 100% and eventually the water may support microorganism growth. So they put an expiration just to cover their butts.

/sounds plausible

There's no such thing as "new water." All of it is far, far more ancient than the dinosaurs, and most of it has already been passed through, and excreted, by some sort of lifeform.

/Yep, once upon a time it was pee.

Would taste better if it weren't an IPA, but hey, beer is beer and it's a pretty good one all the same.

This is true, but also remember that h20 is broken down and reformed via cellular respiration. You could call these molecules "new", though they are a very small minority of the water on this planet

Reminds me of the GF using the word 'after' with her Irish family. Throws me every time.

E.g: "What's wrong with your brother?" "He's after having a sulk."

Definitely not British, I've never heard anyone tack on "anymore" to the end of a sentence like that.
