Never mind Tony Danza, subby. Now I can never get that horrible accent coming out of Scarlet Johansen's mouth out of my head. I'll never look at her the same way again.

'Tis a sad day.

On the basis of that? Not likely.

The sound he makes at the end of the clip is...um...well, it's something, alright.

adam carolla tells a funny story of playing in of those celebriity baseball games, and Danza strikes somebody out, leading to the time-honored "around the horn" toss.

well, Esai Morales was on second, and when he got the ball from first, instead of zipping it to third (traditionally, the 3B is the last guy to get the ball, who then tosses to the pitcher), Morales winged it to Danza....who wasn't looking.

Boom.  Busted his nose, blood flowing, Danza had to be restrained form going after morales....

/he then screamed, "ANGELA?  MONA!  Angela?  Moaaan-uhhh!  Angela!"

Are the accents in that part of the country really THAT bad?  I mean it sounded like they all watched the sopranos on marathon.

Shiat, I gotta spread out my wagers.

However, if Bret Michaels ever wins a Tony for Best Broadway Musical Score, I'll be a very rich man.

If Whoopi Goldberg can win an Oscar for "Ghost," there's really no reason why Tony Danza can't win two.

Of course.

For his role in Don Jon, I can see it. He really nailed it even though you only see him in two places throughout the whole movie.

You Are All Sheep: Are the accents in that part of the country really THAT bad? I mean it sounded like they all watched the sopranos on marathon.

Some, yes, usually when they're all together as a group. It's like being near one another makes it worse.

The extent to which people have that accent is well exaggerated on TV and in movies, though. It's a minority who have it that up front.

Eh, he'll probably get knocked out of nomination contention by "little known English actor in period drama", "older actor who got snubbed in prior better offerings", "big name actor in obvious Oscar bait", and Daniel Day Lewis.

That's one of the things I loved about The Sopranos; they were largely stereotypes, and the show played to it.  I love the episode where they go to Italy and they all hate it.  The food isn't anything like what they are used to, and the Italian mafia can't stand them because they are so unsophisticated.

Still can't believe he didn't get it for Godfather 4.

Not sure how well a movie about working-class  Italian-American stereotypes will do with two Jewish Prep School leads. I remember how Scorsese's reaction when Jonathan Demme made "Married to the Mob".  He was not amused.

If Stallone can get an Oscar nomination writing then I believe Danza can get one for acting. (Stallone also has a nomination for acting)
